Abstract

Perceraian tentu membawa dampak bagi setiap anggota keluarga. Dampak tersebut tidak hanya dirasakan oleh pihak suami dan istri saja, melainkan remaja sebagai bagian dalam anggota keluarga juga turut merasakan dampak dari perpisahan kedua orangtuanya. Tidak menutup kemungkinan, pasca perceraian orangtua membuat remaja mengalami berbagai permasalahan dalam hidupnya sehingga memengaruhi perkembangan konsep dirinya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran konsep diri remaja pasca perceraian orangtua. (2) Untuk mengetahui siapa yang berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan konsep diri remaja pasca perceraian orangtua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang remaja perempuan yang berusia 19 dan 20 tahun. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan menetapkan karakteristik tertentu dalam menentukan sampel pada penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner terbuka, wawancara mendalam, dan observasi. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian peneliti analisis menggunakan teknik analisis menurut Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa gambaran konsep diri kedua remaja ini memiliki perbedaan. Subjek 1 menunjukkan konsep diri yang cenderung mengarah ke negatif, sedangkan subjek 2 menunjukkan konsep diri yang cenderung mengarah ke positif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari ciri-ciri konsep diri yang dimiliki subjek 1 cenderung negatif, sedangkan ciri-ciri konsep diri yang dimiliki subjek 2 cenderung positif. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa subjek 1 dan 2 memiliki significant others atau orang-orang terdekat yang turut berkontribusi dalam mengembangkan konsep diri mereka, yang berarti mereka tidak merasa sendirian karena adanya significant others atau orang-orang terdekat./ Divorce certainly has an impact on every family member. This impact is not only felt by the husband and wife, but teenagers as part of family members also feel the impact of the separation of their parents. It is possible that after the divorce, parents make teenagers experience various problems in their lives, thus affecting the development of their self-concept. The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the picture of adolescent self-concept after parental divorce. (2) To find out who contributed to developing the self-concept of adolescents after parental divorce. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were two adolescent girls aged 19 and 20 years. The sample sampling technique used is purposive sampling by establishing certain characteristics in determining samples in this study. The data collection techniques used in this study were open questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using analytical techniques according to Miles and Huberman. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it can be concluded that the self-concept picture of these two adolescents has differences. Subject 1 shows a self-concept that tends to lead to the negative, while subject 2 indicates a self-concept that tends to lead to the positive. This can be seen from the characteristics of self-concept that subject 1 has tend to be negative, as well as the characteristics of self-concept that subject 2 has tend to be positive. The results of the study also stated that subjects 1 and 2 had significant others or close people who contributed to developing their self-concept, which meant they did not feel alone because of the presence of significant others or close people.
