Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal ditemukannya siswa-siswi Kristen di kelas XI yang belum mengetahui potensi diri dan juga belum memahami dirinya sendiri di SMA Negeri 98 Jakarta sehingga berdampak pada siswa-siswi yang belum mengetahui kelemahan kelebihan yang ada dalam dirinya sendiri bahkan belum mengetahui jurusan dan universitas mana yang akan mereka tuju setelah beranjak dari SMA. Pendidikan humanis bertujuan untuk memanusiakan manusia melalui siswa-siswi yang pada akhirnya dapat memahami potensi diri dan mampu mengaktualisasi diri, sehingga guru memiliki peran penting sebagai motivator untuk membantu siswa-siswinya menggali potensi diri dan pada akhirnya mencapai nilai kemanusiaanya. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriftif. Objek responden dalam penelitian ini ialah guru PAK dan juga 12 siswa-siswi Kristen kelas XI SMA Negeri 98 Jakarta. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan penulis ditemukan guru sudah memahami peran guru PAK dalam pendidikan humanis dan sudah melakukannya serta dibuktikan melalui siswa-siswi yang pada akhirnya sudah mengenal dirinya sendiri melalui potensi diri, kelemahan dan kelebihan serta jurusan dan universitas yang dituju setelah lulus SMA. meskipun masih ada sedikit siswa-siswi yang pada akhirnya belum mengetahui potensi diri serta jurusan dan universitas yang akan dituju hal tersebut dikarenakan siswa-siswi yang memang belum mau untuk menggali dirinya sendiri dan tidak memiliki semangat belajar yang tinggi. Kata Kunci: Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Potensi Diri, Pendidikan Humanis./ The background of this research begins with the discovery of Christian students in class XI who do not know their potential and also do not understand themselves at 98 Senior High School in Jakarta so that it has an impact on students who do not know strengths and weaknesses that exist within themselves and do not even know the majors and which University will they go to after leaving high school. Humanist education aims to humanize humans through students who can ultimately understand their potential and are able to actualize themselves, so that teachers have an important role as motivators to help students explore their potential and ultimately achieve their human values. This study aims to determine The Role of Christian Religious Education Teachers in Developing the Self-Potential of Christian Students at 98 Senior High School in Jakarta Based on Humanist Education. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The object of the respondents in this study were Christian Religious Education teacher and 12 Christian students of class XI at 98 Senior High School in Jakarta. Based on the research that has been carried out by the authors, it is found that teachers have understood the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in humanist education and have done so and it is proven through students who in the end already know themselves through their potential, weaknesses and strengths as well as majors and universities that are intended after graduating from high school. Although there are still a few students who in the end do not know their potential as well as the majors and universities to be addressed, this is because students who do not want to explore themselves and do not have a high enthusiasm for learning.
