Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran OECD melalui kebijakan OECD dalam mengurangi kesenjangan upah berbasis gender. Pertumbuhan perekonomian Korea Selatan yang semakin pesat menjadikan perbedaan upah pekerja perempuan dengan laki-laki semakin tinggi. Sehingga OECD bekerja sama dengan pemerintah Korea Selatan guna mengurangi kesenjangan upah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori feminisme sosialis guna menjelaskan fenomena struktur patriarki agar kesetaraan gender dapat terwujud. Kesetaraan gender mengacu kesempatan yang sama antara laki-laki dan perempuan mengenai kesempatan kerja. Untuk memahami indikator dan variabel tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan melalui wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menemukan peran OECD dan pemerintahan Korea Selatan dalam mengupayakan kesetaraan upah dengan memperbaiki insentif pekerja untuk penerima upah; mendorong perubahan perilaku di antara laki-laki dan perempuan dengan memerangi jam kerja yang panjang; mempromosikan bentuk cuti berbayar yang lebih setara dan mendorong perubahan di tempat kerja; memiliki lapangan kerja yang meningkat pesat sehingga kesenjangan upah terhadap laki-laki menyempit dan memiliki perubahan baik dalam perilaku penawaran tenaga kerja perempuan maupun pada permintaan tenaga kerja, sehingga perempuan dapat mengalihkan aktivitas di rumah mereka ke pasar tenaga kerja.//This study aims to explain the role of the OECD through OECD policies in reducing the gender-based wage gap. South Korea's increasingly rapid economic growth has made the difference in wages for male and female workers even higher.So the OECD is working with the South Korean government to reduce the wage gap. This study usesthe theory of socialist feminism to explain the phenomenon of the patriarchal structure so that gender equality can be realized. Gender equality refers to equal opportunities between men and women regarding employment opportunities. To understand these indicators and variables, this study uses qualitative research methods using collection techniques through interviews and literature study. This study finds the role of the OECD and the South Korean government in seeking equal pay by improving worker incentives for wage earners; promote behavioral change among men and women by combating long working hours; promote more equitable forms of paid leave and encourage change in the workplace; have rapidly increasing employment opportunities so that the wage gap for men is narrowing and have changes in both women'slaborsupply behavior and in labor demand, allowing women to shift activities in their homes to the labor market.
