Abstract

Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menuntut semua orang untuk mampu beradaptasi dan memiliki daya saing yang tinggi. Salah satu kemajuan tersebut adalah dalam bidang pendidikan. Pendidikan memiliki peranan yang cukup strategis, oleh karena itu sekolah sebagai salah satu unsur dalam pendidikan harus didorong untuk mengikuti perubahan dan tuntutan zaman. Upaya yang harus dilakukan adalah dengan perbaikan dan pembaharuan kurikulum, contohnya kurikulum 2013 yang masih terdapat banyak kendala dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas implementasi kurikulum 2013 dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah SD St. Fransiskus III Jakarta tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualititatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak guru yang belum secara mandiri membuat silabus dan RPP, masih belum optimalnya dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013, pendekatan saintific dengan model discovery learning dan project-based learning atau inkuiri belum terlihat, minimnya penggunaan media atau alat peraga, guru belum sepenuhnya menjadi fasilitator dan masih menggunakan drill soal serta metode ceramah dalam proses pengajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum 2013 dalam proses pembelajaran di SDS Santo Fransiskus III Jakarta tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 belum efektif, masih diperlukan pengembangan serta pemberdayaan terhadap para guru-gurunya. One such progress is in the field of education. Education has a quite strategic role, therefore schools as one the element in education must be encouraged to keep updating with the changes and demands of the times.The efforts must be made to improve and update the curriculum, for example in the 2013 curriculum which still has many obstacles in its application. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in improving the quality of learning in St. Fransiskus III Elementary School of Jakarta academic year 2018/2019 using a descriptive qualitative method. This research shows that there are still many teachers who have not independently made syllabus and lesson plans, the implementation of the 2013 curriculum has not been optimal, a scientific approach to discovery learning and project based learning or inquiry models has not been seen, the lack of use of media or teaching aids, teachers have not fully become facilitators and still using question drill and lecture methods in learning process. This study concludes that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in the learning process at Santo Fransiskus III Elementary School of Jakarta academic year 2018/2019 is not yet effective, it still requires the development and empowerment of its teachers.
