Abstract

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia, the government has issued regulations for implementing large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in a number of regions including DKI Jakarta. The implementation of the PSBB has an impact on various fields including education. Since the PSBB was held, all student groups had to carry out online learning. Yap Thiam Hien (YTH) dormitory students of the Universitas Kristen Indonesia are a group of students who are participating in online learning due to the Covid- 19 epidemic. This situation becomes a challenge for lecturers so that the teaching and learning process can still run optimally. Therefore, through this research, the researchers aims to determine the condition of YTH dormitory students interest in learning while conducting online lectures. The research method is carried out using a simple survey. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire using Guttman scale, which consists of 15 statement items. The researcg population includes all UKI YTH boarding students consisting of 192 students who study at various faculties at UKI. The research sample consisted of 39 students who were selected by using the proportional random sampling technique. Based on the data obtained, there are four indicators of interest in learning while participating in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, including the happy feeling category in the “High/60.26%”, learning interest category in the “High/75%”, attention category in the “High/78.63%”, and student involvement category in the “Very High/81.41%”.
