Abstract

Based on observations of hand tools distribution in Jakarta area, Today many brands are emerging with various types and innovations provided by each tool manufacturer. In the industrial world the quality of hand tools is very important because of the heavier work and the limited work area. The comparisons made in this paper, especially on design and materials provide a good reference for determining what tools are appropriate for industry or normal everyday use. Or a socket with flank drive design will provide many conveniences and coupled with good material such as chrome vanadium molybdenum. Based on the results of research in the market that most hand tools that use Chrome Vanadium material as a key element in the production of various types of tooling, Especially in the 3 types of tools studied.
