Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jawaban atas pertanyaan apakah penerapan layanan bimbingan pribadi sosial dapat membentuk karakter diri seorang siswa di kelas VIIIA SMP Strada Budi Luhur Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif (Studi kasus) dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di ruangan bimbingan konseling dan ruangan kelas VIIIA SMP Strada Budi Luhur Bekasi, Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 164, Bekasi 17113. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti melakukan tiga siklus wawancara, siklus pertama melakukan wawancara kepada siswa (R-1) sebagai objek yang diteliti, untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang ada dalam diri siswa seperti nilai religius, tanggungjawab, mandiri, memiliki rasa ingin tahu, jujur, kerja keras, cinta tanah air, peduli sosial. Pada siklus kedua melakukan wawancara kepada guru bimbingan konseling (R-2) dan wali kelas (R-3) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana guru mengenali nilai-nilai karakter yang ada dalam diri siswa. Pada siklus ketiga peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada siswa (R-1), guru bimbingan konseling (R-2), teman satu kelas (R-4, R-5, dan R-6) untuk mengetahui perubahan karakter yang dialami oleh siswa R-1 setelah diberikan bimbingan pribadi sosial. Maka kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat perubahan karakter yang baik dalam diri seorang siswa yang bermasalah setelah dilakukannya penerapan layanan bimbingan pribadi sosial di kelas VIIIA SMP Strada Budi Luhur Bekasi. This research aims to get the answer based on the question of whether a personal tutoring services implementation can form social character a student of Eighth Grader at class VIIIA SMP Strada Budi Luhur Bekasi. This research uses qualitative research methods (case study) by using interview techniques, observations and documentation. This research was conducted in the guidance counseling room and eighth grader room at Strada Budi Luhur Jakarta, JL. IR. h. Juanda No. 164, Bekasi 17113. In this study the researcher did the interview in three cycles, the first cycle conduct the interview to students (R-1) to find out the values of the character of a student such as religious values, responsibility, independent, have a curiosity, honesty, hard work, love of the motherland, social care. In the second cycle, the researcher do the interview to the guidance counseling teacher (R-2) and teacher class (R-3) for the purpose to know the teacher to extent identify the character values that exist within the students. On the third cycle of researchers conduct interviews to students (R-1), teacher of guidance counseling (R-2), one class (R-4, R-5 and R-6) to find out the character changes experienced by students R-1 after being given personal guidance. Then the conclusions of this research there is a change of good character from the troubled student after he had done a personal tutoring services implementation social personal at eighth grader SMP Strada Budi Luhur Bekasi.
