Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi energi pada sistem pembangkitan listrik dan uap melalui penerapan metode co-firing antara batubara, biomasa, dan sampah plastik di industri kertas. Sistem energi yang dikaji meliputi boiler tipe Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) dan sistem steam yang berperan dalam produksi listrik serta pemenuhan kebutuhan proses. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan kinerja energi antara penggunaan batubara murni dan skenario co-firing berdasarkan parameter konsumsi energi spesifik, rasio steam, serta efisiensi sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan co-firing mampu meningkatkan Kinerja operasional dan dampak lingkungan dengan sistem co-firing pada Industri Kertas PT. Fajar Surya Wisesa Bekasi, sistem, yang ditunjukkan dengan penurunan konsumsi energi spesifik dan rasio steam dari 1,92 ton/ton menjadi 1,80 ton/ton produk. Selain itu, penggunaan bahan bakar campuran memberikan potensi pengurangan emisi serta meningkatkan fleksibilitas operasional boiler. Analisis ini didukung oleh pendekatan Basic Engineering Design (BED) untuk menggambarkan konfigurasi sistem boiler dan steam yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Kesimpulannya, penerapan co-firing pada sistem pembangkit industri tidak hanya meningkatkan kinerja operasional, tetapi juga memberikan manfaat lingkungan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci: co-firing, efisiensi energi, boiler CFB, steam system, biomasa, sampah plastik, industri kertas / This study aims to analyze energy efficiency in power and steam generation systems through the implementation of co-firing using coal, biomass, and plastic waste in a paper industry. The energy system under study includes a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler and a steam system that supports both electricity generation and process steam demand. The research method involves comparing system performance between conventional coal combustion and co-firing scenarios based on specific energy consumption, steam ratio, and overall efficiency.The results indicate that co-firing improves system energy efficiency, as shown by the reduction in specific energy consumption and steam ratio from 1.92 ton/ton to 1.80 ton/ton of product. In addition, the use of mixed fuels provides potential emission reduction and enhances boiler operational flexibility. This analysis is supported by a Basic Engineering Design (BED) approach to represent the boiler and steam system configuration used in the study. In conclusion, the implementation of co firing in industrial power generation systems not only improves energy efficiency but also offers significant environmental and operational benefits.
