Abstract

Guru Sekolah Minggu memiliki peran sebagai motivator untuk setiap anak yang Tuhan percayakan dalam pelayanan Sekolah Minggu. Oleh karena itu penulisan mengenai peran guru Sekolah Minggu sebagai motivator terhadap peningkatan keaktifan anak sangat diperlukan. Tujuan dari penulisan ini yaitu: 1) untuk mengetahui guru Sekolah Minggu dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai motivator, 2) tantangan guru sekolah minggu dalam meningkatkan keaktifan anak sekolah minggu dalam beribadah sekolah minggu. Tulisan ini juga sebagai dorongan untuk guru Sekolah Minggu agar terus menjadi motivator bagi anak Sekolah Minggu. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu para guru Sekolah Minggu selalu berusaha untuk menjalankan perannya sebagai motivator terhadap peningkatan keaktifan anak dalam beribadah. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru sekolah minggu antara lain ialah mengamati terlebih dahulu latar belakang yang membuat anak tersebut menjadi tidak aktif dalam ibadah, mendatangi rumah anak Sekolah Minggu tersebut, dan memberikan belaian kasih sayang. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Minggu, Motivator, Peningkatan Keaktifan / The Sunday School teacher acts as a motivator for every child entrusted by God in Sunday School ministry. Therefore writing about the role of the Sunday School teacher as a motivator to increase children's activity is needed. The purposes of this paper are: 1) to know the Sunday school teacher in carrying out his role as a motivator, 2) the challenges of the Sunday school teacher in increasing the activity of Sunday school children in Sunday school worship. This article is also an advice for Sunday School teachers to continue to be a motivator for Sunday School children. This writing uses a qualitative approach with observation techniques, interviews and documentation The results of this study are Sunday School teachers always try to run it as a motivator to increase children's activities in worship. Efforts made by the Sunday school teacher include first observing the background that makes children not active in worship, visiting Sunday school children's homes, and giving affection.
