Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi tata kelola manajemen produksi dalam penciptaan karya film dokumenter etnografi yang berjudul Tung Piong: Bisikan Leluhur dari Jantung Sikka. Latar belakang penciptaan karya ini didorong oleh adanya jarak kultural dan penurunan minat yang signifikan di kalangan generasi muda terhadap tradisi lisan sebagai akibat dari masifnya arus globalisasi informasi dan tren budaya modern. Fenomena ini mengancam keberlangsungan ritual sakral Tung Piong yang merupakan ritus penghormatan arwah leluhur di Kabupaten Sikka, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Bertindak dalam peran produser, peneliti mengintegrasikan fungsi manajemen fundamental George R Terry yang meliputiplanning, organizing, actuating, dan controlling sebagai pisau analisis untuk mengelola kompleksitas teknis, operasional, finansial, dan sosiologis di lapangan Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan secara komprehensif melalui studi literatur, observasi partisipatif, serta wawancara mendalam dengan dua pihak utama yaitu: tokoh adat dan perwakilan pemuda lokal (Creswell & Creswell, 2017; Guba & Lincoln, 1994). Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan strategis seorang produser sangat krusial dalam mengatasi kendala di pedalaman, seperti restrukturisasi anggaran operasional yang dihimpun dari sponsor pihak ketiga, serta mitigasi kendala mekanis akibat cuaca ekstrem melalui peralihan taktis ke metode kamera handheld berbantuan pilar alam. Lebih lanjut, melalui tradisi dialog Kula Babong, sehingga tim memperoleh akses legal untuk merekam detail ritus suci secara intim. Pada fase pasca produksi, intervensi teknologi digital berhasil memulihkan kualitas vokal mantra dari gangguan desau angin dan kebocoran suara lingkungan komunal (Effendy & Surjaman, 2011). Produk audio visual berformat Soft News dengan durasi final sekitar ± 21 menit ini telah dipublikasikan secara resmi melalui kanal YouTube FloresPos Netv. Langkah tersebut sekaligus memenuhi target hilirisasi karya sebagai arsip digital kebudayaan yang kredibel guna mendorong edukasi publik dan pariwisata berbasis budaya yang berkelanjutan. Melalui kemasan yang dinamis, film ini diharapkan mampu memikat atensi visual generasi digital tanpa mereduksi kesakralan substansi adat masyarakat Sikka./This study examines the framework of production management within the creation of the ethnographic documentary film titled Tung Piong: Whispers of the Ancestors from the Heart of Sikka. The underlying impetus for this creative project stems from a profound cultural disconnection among the younger generation, driven by massive globalization and the prevalence of digital media which threatens the continuity of the sacred Tung Piong ancestral worship ritual in Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Operating under the role of a producer, the researcher synthesizes George R Terrys core management dimensions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, to manage the technical, financial, and sociological complexities of independent documentary filmmaking in remote Data collection was systematically gathered through field observations, extensive literature reviews, and in depth interviews with two primary groups: tribal leaders and local youths. The results indicate that a producers strategic leadership is instrumental in resolving operational bottlenecks, such as managing a constrained budget obtained from external sponsorships, and resolving technical anomalies caused by torrential rains through adaptive handheld camera techniques. Furthermore, the implementation of participatory interpersonal communication successfully mediated cultural resistance from community elders via the Kula Babong tradition, securing exclusive access to document the sacred rites. In the post production stage, technological interventions successfully The final ± 21 minute documentary has been officially distributed via the FloresPos Netv YouTube channel, achieving its strategic objective: transforming a localized, vulnerable oral tradition into an accessible, institutionalized digital archive for public education and sustainable cultural tourism. By deploying a visually poetic yet dynamic editing pace, this film successfully engages the digital generation while preserving the sacred essence of the local cultural identity.
