Abstract

Video dokumenter merupakan salah satu media komunikasi massa yang mampu menyajikan fakta dan realitas sosial secara objektif kepada masyarakat. Dalam proses pembuatannya, peran produser menjadi sangat penting karena bertanggung jawab dalam mengelola seluruh tahapan produksi agar tujuan dan pesan yang ingin disampaikan dapat terlaksana secara efektif. Karya video dokumenter Langkah Terbatas di Kota yang Terlalu Cepat mengangkat isu kesenjangan aksesibilitas transportasi umum bagi penyandang disabilitas di Jakarta, khususnya pada layanan Transjakarta yang belum sepenuhnya inklusif. Tujuan penciptaan karya ini adalah untuk menjelaskan peran produser dalam menerapkan teknik pengelolaan produksi video dokumenter melalui tahapan pra-produksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Pada tahap pra-produksi, produser bertanggung jawab dalam menentukan ide, melakukan riset, menyusun konsep, mengurus perizinan, menyusun jadwal, serta mengelola anggaran produksi. Pada tahap produksi, produser berperan dalam mengkoordinasikan tim, mengatur jadwal wawancara narasumber, memastikan kelancaran proses pengambilan gambar, serta mengatasi berbagai kendala yang muncul selama produksi berlangsung. Sementara itu, pada tahap pascaproduksi, produser melakukan pengawasan terhadap proses penyuntingan video, pemilihan visual dan audio, serta memastikan hasil akhir sesuai dengan konsep dan tujuan dokumenter. Hasil penciptaan karya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik pengelolaan produksi yang dilakukan produser mampu mendukung kelancaran proses produksi video dokumenter secara terstruktur dan efisien. Selain itu, video dokumenter ini berhasil menyampaikan informasi mengenai berbagai hambatan yang dialami penyandang disabilitas dalam mengakses fasilitas transportasi umum serta menjadi media edukasi bagi masyarakat dan bahan evaluasi bagi penyedia layanan publik dalam mewujudkan aksesibilitas yang lebih inklusif. / Documentary video is one of the mass communication media capable of presenting facts and social realities objectively to the public. In the production process, the producer plays a crucial role in managing all stages of production to ensure that the intended messages and objectives are conveyed effectively. The documentary video Limited Steps in a City That Moves Too Fast highlights the issue of accessibility inequality in public transportation for persons with disabilities in Jakarta, particularly within the Transjakarta transportation system, which has not yet fully implemented inclusive facilities. This creative project aims to describe the producer’s role in implementing production management techniques throughout the documentary production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production stages. During the pre-production stage, the producer was responsible for developing ideas, conducting research, creating concepts, obtaining permits, preparing schedules, and managing the production budget. During the production stage, the producer coordinated the production team, arranged interview schedules with sources, ensured the smooth execution of filming activities, and resolved various challenges encountered during production. In the post-production stage, the producer supervised the editing process, selected visual and audio materials, and ensured that the final product aligned with the documentary’s concept and objectives. The results of this creative project demonstrate that the implementation of production management techniques by the producer successfully supported a structured and efficient documentary production process. Furthermore, the documentary effectively conveyed information regarding the obstacles faced by persons with disabilities in accessing public transportation facilities and served as an educational medium for the public, as well as an evaluative reference for public service providers in creating a more inclusive transportation environment.
