Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis diplomasi kebudayaan Indonesia dalam Virtual Youtuber melalui Hololive ID dengan fokus pada konten dan pengaruhnya dalam memperkenalkan budaya Indonesia kepada audiens internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep diplomasi budaya dari Milton Cummings untuk menganalisis diplomasi kebudayaan Indonesia dalam Virtual Youtuber melalui Hololive ID. Melalui pendekatan analisis konten dan interaksi dengan penggemar, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bagaimana Hololive ID sebagai VTuber dari Indonesia memainkan peran penting dalam mempromosikan warisan budaya Indonesia melalui berbagai elemen seperti bahasa, pakaian tradisional, makanan, tarian, dan festival. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa VTuber Hololive ID berhasil menciptakan hubungan emosional dan pengalaman interaktif dengan penggemar dari berbagai negara, memungkinkan pertukaran budaya yang intensif. Meskipun ada beberapa tantangan dalam menyampaikan konten budaya yang akurat dan representatif, VTuber Hololive ID telah membantu meningkatkan pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap budaya Indonesia di tingkat global. Dalam konteks diplomasi budaya, keberadaan VTuber Hololive ID berpotensi untuk memperluas jangkauan dan efektivitas diplomasi kebudayaan Indonesia di era digital, menciptakan kesadaran dan minat terhadap budaya Indonesia serta memperkuat citra positif negara di mata dunia./This study aims to analyze Indonesia's cultural diplomacy in virtual YouTuber (VTuber) through Hololive ID by focusing on the content and its influence in introducing Indonesian culture to international audiences. This study employs cultural diplomacy by Milton Cummings to analyze Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy in virtual YouTuber through Hololive ID. Using a content analysis approach and fan interactions, this research identifies how Hololive ID, as an Indonesian VTuber group, significantly promotes Indonesia's cultural heritage through various elements such as language, traditional attire, food, dance, and festivals. The analysis results demonstrate that Hololive ID VTubers have successfully established emotional connections and interactive experiences with fans from different countries, enabling intensive cultural exchange. Despite challenges in delivering accurate and representative cultural content, Hololive ID VTubers have contributed to enhancing understanding and appreciation of Indonesian culture on a global scale. In the context of cultural diplomacy, the presence of Hololive ID VTubers has the potential to expand the reach and effectiveness of Indonesia's cultural diplomacy in the digital era, creating awareness and interest in Indonesian culture while strengthening the country's positive image worldwide.
