Abstract
Perkembangan platform digital global menandai kebangkitan bentuk baru soft power Amerika Serikat melalui dominasi teknologi, arsitektur platform, dan logika ekonomi digital. / The development of global digital platforms marks the rise of a new form of US soft power through technological dominance, platform architecture, and digital economic logic. Roblox, as a US-owned virtual world-based user-generated content platform, represents how US influence works in global networked societies without direct coercion. This study aims to analyze how Roblox functions as an instrument of US soft power while shaping the social space where Indonesian networked society develops through the participation of local creators. The study uses a qualitative approach through online observation(netnography), semi-structured interviews with Indonesian Roblox developers, and digital documentation, supported by literature studies on Network Society and Soft Power. Data analysis was conducted using social cognitive model discourse analysis. The results show that the dominance of American platforms shapes the structure of global digital interactions, but within that structure, Indonesian creators are building practices of cultural representation and national identity. These findings show that the rise of American soft power in the digital age goes hand in hand with the formation of local networked communities and practices of non-state cultural representation as an implication of that structure.
