Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG) terhadap kinerja keuangan PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) selama periode 2015–2024. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada lima prinsip utama GCG, yaitu transparansi, akuntabilitas, responsibilitas, independensi, dan kewajaran, serta tiga indikator kinerja keuangan, yaitu profitabilitas (ROA, ROE), likuiditas (LDR, LCR), dan rasio kecukupan modal (CAR). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan sumber data sekunder berupa laporan tahunan dan laporan tata kelola perusahaan BCA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi GCG di BCA mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari tahun ke tahun, ditandai dengan penghargaan eksternal dan skor evaluasi yang tinggi. Kinerja keuangan BCA juga menunjukkan tren positif, terutama setelah pemulihan pasca pandemi COVID-19. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya keterkaitan positif antara penerapan GCG dan peningkatan kinerja keuangan, khususnya dalam aspek efisiensi operasional, stabilitas likuiditas, dan kekuatan permodalan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi regulator, investor, dan manajemen perbankan dalam memperkuat praktik tata kelola yang berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Good Corporate Governance, Kinerja Keuangan, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk./This study aims to analyze the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation on the financial performance of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) during the 2015–2024 period. The research focuses on five key principles of GCG, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness, as well as three financial performance indicators: profitability (ROA, ROE), liquidity (LDR, LCR), and capital adequacy (CAR). A descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach was used, utilizing secondary data sourced from BCA’s annual reports and corporate governance reports. The findings indicate that BCA's GCG practices have shown consistent improvement over the years, as reflected by external awards and high evaluation scores. BCA’s financial performance also demonstrated a positive trend, especially during the post-pandemic recovery period. These results suggest a positive correlation between GCG implementation and improved financial performance, particularly in terms of operational efficiency, liquidity stability, and capital strength. This study is expected to serve as a valuable reference for regulators, investors, and banking management in enhancing sustainable corporate governance practices.
