Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peningkatan kualitas manajemen kepala sekolah di SMTK Negeri TTS dan SMTK Benfomeni Kapan, implementasi strategi kepala sekolah di kedua SMTK, dan menganalisis kontribusi strategi masing-masing kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas manajemen di kedua SMTK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMTK Negeri TTS dan SMTK Benfomeni Kapan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi serta menerapkan triangulasi pada teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, terhadap 6 informan dari SMTK Negeri TTS terdiri atas 1 kepala sekolah, 4 guru, dan 1 staf administrasi, serta 6 informan dari SMTK Negeri TTS terdiri atas 1 kepala sekolah, 4 guru, dan 1 staf administrasi. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SMTK Negeri TTS dan SMTK Benfomeni Kapan memiliki perbedaan dalam meningkatkan kualitas manajemen sekolah. Kepala SMTK Negeri TTS fokus pada pengelolaan administrasi dan integrasi, sedangkan kepala SMTK Benfomeni Kapan fokus pada pengembangan kemampuan guru dan siswa. Perbedaan gaya kepemimpinan ini memengaruhi strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengambil keputusan, mengelola sumber daya, dan mengembangkan kemampuan guru dan siswa. Kedua sekolah memiliki pendekatan evaluasi yang berbeda, namun sama-sama menekankan pentingnya perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan dalam meningkatkan kualitas manajemen sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan kepala SMTK yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kualitas manajemen sekolah dan mutu pendidikan di masa kini dan masa depan./This study aims to analyze the improvement of principal management quality at SMTK Negeri TTS and SMTK Benfomeni Kapan, the implementation of principal strategies in both schools, and analyze the contribution of each principal's strategy in enhancing management quality in both schools. This research was conducted at SMTK Negeri TTS and SMTK Benfomeni Kapan using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, applying triangulation to observation, interview, and documentation techniques, involving 6 informants from SMTK Negeri TTS consisting of 1 principal, 4 teachers, and 1 administrative staff, and 6 informants from SMTK Benfomeni Kapan consisting of 1 principal, 4 teachers, and 1 administrative staff. The findings show that the principal leadership strategies at SMTK Negeri TTS and SMTK Benfomeni Kapan differ in enhancing school management quality. The principal of SMTK Negeri TTS focuses on administrative management and integration, while the principal of SMTK Benfomeni Kapan focuses on developing teacher and student capacities. This difference in leadership style affects the principal's strategy in decision-making, resource management, and developing teacher and student capacities. Both schools have different evaluation approaches, but both emphasize the importance of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring in enhancing school management quality. The results of this study indicate that effective principal leadership strategies can enhance school management quality and education quality in the present and future.
