Abstract

Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan adalah salah satu universitas di kota Medan Sumatera Utara, diharapkan dapat menjadi pelaku damai dan merubah kondisi yang penuh konflik dan kekerasan kepada kondisi yang penuh kedamaian. Berbagai upaya seperti memberikan sanksi telah dilakukan pihak kampus, namun konflik masih terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pemahaman Pendidikan Perdamaian Terhadap Konflik dan Kekerasan Antar Mahasiswa di Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan Tahun 2021-2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan cross-sectional dengan menyebarkan angket variabel pemahaman pendidikan perdamaian serta variabel konflik dan kekerasan antar mahasiswa. Populasi terjangkau penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa/i Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan yaitu 8000 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan Accidental Sampling yang ditentukan dari jumlah sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi sebanyak 374 orang. Pengolahan dan Analisis data mengunakan software SPSS. Analisis Univarian dilakukan dengan mengambarkan setiap variabel dan disajikan dalam tabel distribusi frekuensi. Analis Bivarian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel pemahaman pendidikan perdamaian dengan variabel konflik dan Kekerasan, menggunakan uji uji korelasi Spearman Rho, dengan kriteria pengujian hipotesis n nilai p < 0,05 (signifikan). Ada pengaruh pemahaman pendidikan perdamaian terhadap konflik dan kekerasan antar mahasiswa di kampus Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan Tahun 2021-2025, p value 0,001. Luas daerah yang dibentuk kurva ROC sebesar 0,716 atau 71,6%, artinya cukup baik untuk memprediksi keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam konflik dan kekerasan yang terjadi. Universitas HKBP Nommensen diharapkan menindaklanjuti program pendidikan perdamaian pada mahasiswa sebagai tindakan preventif untuk mencegah terjadinya konflik dan kekerasan di masa yang akan datang. / HKBP Nommensen University Medan is one of the universities in the city of Medan, North Sumatra, which is expected to be a peacemaker and change conditions full of conflict and violence to conditions full of peace. Various efforts such as imposing sanctions have been made by the campus, but conflicts still occur. This study aims to determine the effect of understanding peace education on conflict and violence between students at HKBP Nommensen University Medan in 2021-2025. This study used a cross-sectional design by distributing questionnaires on variable of understanding of peace education, variables of conflict and violence between students. The accessible population of this study was all students of HKBP Nommensen University Medan, namely 8000 people. The sampling technique used Accidental Sampling which was determined from the number of samples that met the inclusion criteria of 374 people. Data processing and analysis using SPSS software. Univariant analysis is done by describing each variable and presented in a frequency distribution table. Bivariant analysis is done to determine the influence of the variable understanding of peace education with the variable conflict and violence, using the Spearman Rho correlation test, with the criteria for testing the hypothesis n p value <0.05 (significant). There is an influence of understanding peace education on conflict and violence between students at the HKBP Nommensen University campus in Medan in 2021-2025, p value 0.001. The area formed by the ROC curve is 0.716 or 71.6%, meaning it is good enough to predict student involvement in the conflict and violence that occurs. HKBP Nommensen University is expected to follow up on its peace education program for students as a preventive measure to prevent future conflicts and violence.
