Abstract

Fenomena rendahnya kepercayaan diri perempuan Indonesia yang dipengaruhi oleh standar kecantikan yang sempit dan ekspektasi sosial dari media sosial menjadi latar belakang karya ini. Menjawab persoalan tersebut, Luvmelove.com hadir sebagai media alternatif yang dibangun untuk menciptakan ruang aman, inklusif, dan suportif bagi perempuan dalam menumbuhkan self-love dan memberdayakan diri. Website ini terdiri dari kanal Issues, Luvme Talks, dan Info Bliss, yang menyajikan konten seputar kesehatan mental, relasi, pemberdayaan, dan kisah perempuan. Karya ini menggunakan pendekatan media alternatif sebagai kerangka konseptual, yakni media yang hadir di luar arus utama dengan tujuan menyuarakan kelompok yang sering terpinggirkan, dalam hal ini perempuan. Melalui konten yang partisipatif dan berbasis pengalaman nyata, Luvmelove menghindari standar dominan media mainstream yang kerap mengobjektifikasi atau menyederhanakan realitas perempuan. Penulis berperan sebagai pemimpin redaksi yang memimpin strategi konten, supervisi editorial, dan pengelolaan tim. Website ini juga terintegrasi dengan Instagram dan komunitas WhatsApp untuk memperluas interaksi. Karya ini bertujuan membangun komunitas perempuan yang saling mendukung dalam perjalanan mencintai diri, serta menunjukkan bahwa media dapat menjadi alat perjuangan yang transformatif ketika dikelola dengan perspektif alternatif dan berpihak pada perempuan. Kata Kunci: Self-love, Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Media Alternatif / The widespread insecurity among Indonesian women, driven by narrow beauty standards and social expectations promoted by social media, serves as the foundation of this work. In response, Luvmelove.com was created as an alternative media platform to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where women can practice self-love and empower themselves. The website features three main sections: Issues, Luvme Talks, and Info Bliss, which focus on mental health, relationships, empowerment, and women’s personal stories. This project explicitly adopts an alternative media approach, a framework that emphasizes non-mainstream media platforms that amplify marginalized voices, in this case, women. Unlike mainstream media, which often objectifies or oversimplifies women’s realities, Luvmelove.com promotes participatory content and real-life narratives that center women's perspectives. As the editor-in-chief, the author leads content strategy, supervises the editorial process, and manages the creative team. The website is also supported by its Instagram account and a WhatsApp community to foster deeper engagement. This project aims to build a strong community of women who support each other in the journey of self-acceptance and self-love. Ultimately, it demonstrates how media, when developed through an alternative and feminist lens, can become a transformative tool for social change and empowerment.
