Abstract

Penelitian ini diangkat dari permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu academic burnout yang dialami oleh peserta didik kelas X. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi apakah konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan art therapy efektif dilakukan sebagai solusi dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut. Melalui kegiatan seni, diharapkan peserta didik dapat mengekspresikan emosi mereka, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan pada akhirnya mengurangi gejala burnout. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan memakai desain pretest-posttest non-ekuivalen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen School Burnout Inventory (SBI). Instrumen diberikan kepada populasi sebanyak 72 peserta didik dan kemudian didapatkan 10 peserta didik sebagai sampel yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Total sampel kemudian dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yakni kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data penelitian diolah menggunakan SPSS Statistics 26. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji independent sample t-test, diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,002 yang memiliki arti bahwa lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,05. Dapat diartikan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata skor academic burnout antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis pre-test dan post-test menggunakan uji paired sample t-test, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,003 yang menunjukkan bahwa p-value tersebut lebih kecil dari 0,5. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perubahan rata-rata tingkat academic burnout untuk pre-test dan post-test kelompok eksperimen. Pada penelitian ini hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa konseling kelompok pendekatan art therapy efektif dalam mereduksi tingkat academic burnout pada peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar sekolah-sekolah dapat mempertimbangkan untuk mengintegrasikan pendekatan art therapy dalam program Bimbingan dan Konseling. / This research is based on the issue of academic burnout experienced by tenth-grade students. This research aims to identify whether group counseling with an art therapy approach is effective as a solution to address the issue. Through artistic activities, it is hoped that students can express their emotions, enhance their motivation to learn, and ultimately reduce symptoms of burnout. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method employing a non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. Data collection was conducted using the School Burnout Inventory (SBI) instrument. The instrument was administered to a population of 72 students, and then 10 students were selected as a sample using purposive sampling method. The total sample is then divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The research data was processed using SPSS Statistics 26. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test calculation, a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 was obtained, which means that the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.05. It should be interpreted that there is a significant difference between the average academic burnout scores of the experimental group and the control group. Next, a pre-test and post-test analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test, yielding a significance value of 0.003, which indicates that the p-value is less than 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a change in the average level of academic burnout between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group. In this study, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that group counseling with an art therapy approach is effective in reducing the level of academic burnout among students. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that schools consider integrating an art therapy approach into their Guidance and Counseling programs.
