Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan menganalisis dinamika penerimaan standar kecantikan Korea Selatan di tengah masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini mencoba memahami bagaimana citra kecantikan yang dipromosikan oleh industri kecantikan Korea Selatan diterima dan diadaptasi oleh individu di Indonesia. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis konten media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerimaan standar kecantikan Korea Selatan di Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk pengaruh media, budaya pop, dan norma sosial. Terdapat dinamika kompleks dalam cara masyarakat Indonesia merespons dan mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen kecantikan Korea Selatan ke dalam konsep kecantikan lokal. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang interaksi antara budaya kecantikan Korea Selatan dan masyarakat Indonesia serta implikasinya terhadap konsep kecantikan dan identitas individu. / This research aims to uncover and analyze the dynamics of the acceptance of South Korean beauty standards in Indonesian society. This research tries to understand how the beauty image promoted by the South Korean beauty industry is accepted and adapted by individuals in Indonesia. Qualitative research methods were used to collect data through interviews, observations, and media content analysis. The results show that the acceptance of South Korean beauty standards in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, including media influence, pop culture, and social norms. There are complex dynamics in the way Indonesians respond to and integrate elements of South Korean beauty into local beauty concepts. As such, this study contributes to further understanding of the interaction between South Korean beauty culture and Indonesian society and its implications for individual concepts of beauty and identity.
