Abstract

Diabetes Melitus (DM) adalah penyakit endokrin yang ditandai oleh kadar glukosa darah melebihi normal dan gangguan metabolisme karbohidrat, lemak dan protein yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan hormon insulin secara relatif maupun absolut. Apabila tidak terkontrol maka penderita dapat terkena komplikasi dari penyakit ini. Salah satu penyakit kronik DM adalah ulkus diabetikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat kepatuhan pasien DM tipe 2 dengan tingkat kejadian ulkus diabetikum pada pasien tersebut dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif content analysis (analisis dokumen Rekam Medik) dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan didapatkan 73 sampel dari total 83 populasi penderita DM tipe 2 dengan komplikasi pada pembuluh saraf perifernya. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 39 (51,3%) sampel yang tidak mematuhi terapi menderita ulkus diabetikum, sementara sebanyak 10 (13,2%) sampel yang tidak mematuhi terapi mengalami komplikasi lain selain ulkus diabetikum dengan nilai p=0,027 (p<0,05) dari hasil uji statistik chi square. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan adanya hubungan antara tingkat kepatuhan terapi pasien dengan tingkat kejadian ulkus diabetik pada pasien DM tipe 2 di RSU UKI. Disarankan bagi pasien untuk mematuhi terapi yang diberikan oleh dokter atau tenaga kesehatan dan keluarga pasien untuk memberi dukungan pada pasien untuk mengingatkan pasien minum obat dan memenuhi terpai yang diberikan. Kata kunci : DM tipe 2, Ulkus Diabetikum, Kepatuhan Terapi. / Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is an endocrine disease characterized by blood glucose levels that exceed the normal amount and impaired carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism caused by a relative or absolute deficiency of the hormone insulin. If it is not controlled, then the patient can get complications from this particular disease. One of the DM chronic diseases is diabetic ulcer. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of adherence of patients with type 2 DM with the incidence rate of diabetic ulcers in these patients using descriptive content analysis method (analysis of medical record documents) with a cross sectional approach, along with the obtained 73 samples from a total of 83 populations of type 2 DM patients with complications in the peripheral nerve vessels. The results showed 39 (51.3%) samples that did not comply with therapy suffering from diabetic ulcer, while as many as 10 (13.2%) samples that did not comply with therapy experienced other complications besides diabetic ulcers with a value of p=0.027 (p<0, 05) from test results of the chi square statistics. Shown by the results of the analysis, the researcher then found a relationship between the level of compliance with patient therapy with the incidence rate of diabetic ulcers in patients with type 2 DM in Universitas Kristen Indonesia General Hospital. It is recommended for patients to comply with therapies given by doctors or health workers and the patient's family to provide support to patients to remind them to take medication and meet the criteria given.
