Abstract

Aloe Vera salah satunya pengobatan herbal yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi dan mengobati jerawat (acne vulgaris) serta mencerahkan dan melembabkan kulit wajah. Jerawat atau dalam bahasa medisnya disebut acne vulgaris, penyakit ini tidak fatal tetapi cukup merisaukan karena berhubungan dengan menurunnya kepercayaan diri akibat berkurangnya keindahan wajah penderita.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui manfaat dari aloe vera terhadap kejadian acne vulgaris pada mahasiswi FK UKI ANGKATAN 2016 dan hubungannya dengan variabel karakteristik berupa : umur,agama,suku,dan ekonomi menggunakan desain cross sectional . Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang mengandung 7 pertanyaan mengenai penggunaan aloe vera dan kejadian acne vulgaris. Hasilnya 72 siswi dari 88 siswi tersebut sembuh karena aloe vera .Penelitian ini di analisis menggunakan uji statistik chi-square untuk melihat ada tidaknya hubungan antara 2 variabel .Dalam hasil uji statistik chisquare terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara penggunaan aloevera dengan kejadian acne vulgaris (p < 0,05) .kemudian terdapat juga hubungan antara variabel karakteristik berupa ekonomi dengan penggunaan aloe vera (p < 0,05), dan terdapat juga manfaat lain dari aloe vera yang dirasakan oleh responden yaitu dalam melembabkan wajah. Kata kunci : Acne Vulgaris , Aloe Vera. / Aloe Vera is an herbal treatment that can be used to treat and treat acne (acne vulgaris) and brighten and moisturize facial skin. Acne or in medical language is called acne vulgaris, this disease is not fatal but quite alarming because it is associated with decreased self-confidence due to reduced beauty of sufferers. in the form of: age, religion, ethnicity, and economy using a cross sectional design. Data was collected using a questionnaire containing 7 questions regarding the use of aloe vera and the incidence of acne vulgaris. The result was 72 students from 88 students recovered because of aloe vera. This study was analyzed using a chi-square statistical test to see whether there was a relationship between the 2 variables. chisquare there was a significant relationship between the use of aloe vera and the incidence of acne vulgaris (p <0.05). Then there was also a relationship between the economic characteristics variables with the use of aloe vera (p <0.05), and there were also other benefits of aloe vera felt by the respondent is in moisturizing the face.
