Abstract

Dalam perkembangan industri media di Indonesia terutama media massa Jurnalis dihadapi dengan kurangnya kesejahteraan terhadap Jurnalis. Secara pesat dalam beberapa tahun ini jumlah media meningkat sangat tinggi. Dalam hal ini, Dewan Pers memberikan himabuan kepada seluruh perusahaan media memberi kebijakan terkait dengan upah jurnalis sesuai dengan upah minimum provinsi dengan minimal 13 kali dalam setahun seperti yang diterapakan di dalam UU No.13 tahun 2003 dan UU No.40 tahun 1999 pasal 10 terkait dengan Pers dan Standar Perusahaan Pers. Tetapi realita yang diterapkan oleh beberapa perusahaan media memiliki penerapan kompensasi yang berbeda. Salah satu media yaitu Hops.Id yang memberi kompensasi berdasarkan kinerja melalui tulisan konten yang dibuat oleh jurnalis. Melalui latar belakang tersebut muncul pertanyaan mengapa kompensasi berdasarkan performa kinerja diterapkan di Hops.Id dan bagaimana akibat terhadap kinerja wartawan Hops.Id? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan deskriptif dengan memberikan penjelasan dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, obsevasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sistem yang dipakai Promedia Teknologi dan Hops.Id sesuai dengan standar yang dibuat. kebijakan ini mampu membuat Jurnalis semangat dan produktif dalam melakukan tugasnya untuk mendapatkan upah yang tinggi, sebaliknya yang tidak semangat dan kurang produktif hasil upah yang diterima oleh Jurnalis juga rendah. Konsep pemberian kompensasi berdasarkan performa kinerja adalah cara baru dalam dunia media dimana wartawan dibayar sesuai dengan banyaknya pageview yang diterima sebagai dari hasil kerja kerasanya dengan target artikel per-harinya. Dengan kebijakan Promedia Teknologi dan Hops.Id yang menerapkan sistem kinerja berdasarkan pageview justru membuat para jurnalisnya lebih tertantang untuk bisa memberikan yang terbaik untuk perusahaan dan dirinya sendiri. / In the development of the media industry in Indonesia, especially mass media, journalists are faced with a lack of welfare for journalists. Rapidly in recent years the number of media has increased very high. In this case, the Press Council provides guidance to all media companies to provide rules related to journalists' wages in accordance with the provincial minimum wage with a minimum of 13 times a year as applied in Law No.13 of 2003 and Law No.40 of 1999 article 10 related to the Press and Press Company Standards. But the reality applied by several media companies has a different application of compensation. One of the media is Hops.Id, which compensates based on performance through writing content created by journalists. Through this background, the question arises why compensation based on performance is applied at Hops.Id and how does it affect the performance of Hops.Id journalists? This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach by providing explanations and collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the system used by Promedia Teknologi and Hops.Id is in accordance with the standards made. this policy is able to make journalists enthusiastic and productive in carrying out their duties to get high wages, on the other hand, those who are not enthusiastic and less productive, the wages received by journalists are also low. The concept of compensation based on performance is a new way in the media world where journalists are paid according to the number of pageviews received as a result of their hard work with daily article targets. With the Promedia Teknologi and Hops.Id policies that implement a performance system based on pageviews, it actually makes journalists more challenged to be able to provide the best for the company and themselves.
