Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi profesionalisme guru terhadap mutu lulusan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri di Kabupaten Toraja Utara, Indonesia. Pendidikan menjadi landasan penting dalam pembangunan suatu negara, dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memainkan peran krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas sistem pendidikan. Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 57 Tahun 2021 menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di semua lembaga pendidikan, termasuk SMA, melalui penjaminan mutu yang terencana dan terukur. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, terutama dalam pendekatan kepemimpinan melayani, diakui sebagai faktor penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Namun, masih kurang penelitian yang mengkaji hubungan langsung antara kepemimpinan melayani kepala sekolah dan mutu lulusan di SMA Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap mutu lulusan di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Namun, kontribusi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap mutu lulusan masih belum optimal. Terlihat juga pengaruh positif dari kompetensi profesionalisme guru terhadap mutu lulusan di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai koefisien regresi variabel kompetensi profesionalisme guru (X2) sebesar 0,438. Terlihat adanya pengaruh bersama-sama dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi profesionalisme guru terhadap mutu lulusan di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Hal ini tercermin dari nilai Fhitung yang lebih besar dari Ftabel. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman baru tentang pentingnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi profesionalisme guru dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMA, khususnya di Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya perhatian yang lebih besar terhadap peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengarahkan upaya peningkatan mutu lulusan di tingkat SMA. Education is a fundamental cornerstone in the development of a country, and the leadership of school principals plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of the education system. Government Regulation No. 57 of 2021 emphasizes the importance of improving educational quality in all educational institutions, including senior high schools, through planned and measurable quality assurance. Principal leadership, particularly in a servant leadership approach, is recognized as a critical factor in enhancing educational quality. However, there is still a lack of research examining the direct relationship between the servant leadership of principals and the quality of graduates in Indonesian senior high schools. This study employs a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that principal leadership has a significant positive influence on the quality of graduates at public senior high schools in North Toraja District. However, the contribution of principal leadership to graduate quality is not yet optimal. There is also a positive influence from teacher professional competence on the quality of graduates at public senior high schools in North Toraja District. This is evident from the regression coefficient value of the teacher professional competence variable (X2) which is 0.438. There is a joint influence of both principal leadership and teacher professional competence on the quality of graduates at public senior high schools in North Toraja District. This is reflected by the F-test value being greater than the F-table value. These findings provide new insights into the importance of principal leadership and teacher professional competence in enhancing the quality of education at senior high schools, especially in North Toraja District. The implication of this study is the need for greater attention to the role of principal leadership in directing efforts to improve graduate quality at the high school level.
