Abstract
Pemilihan calon presiden 2024 ini cukup mengundang perhatian khalayak. Beberapa orang mencoba mencari tahu perkembangan pemilihan presiden lewat berita, baik melalui televisi sampai dengan media online. Media online portal detiknews.com sangat up to date dengan pemberitaan mengenai calon presiden 2024. Dalam pemberitaannya, detiknews.com memberitakan kampanye kinerja dari masing-masing pasangan calon presiden dan calon wakil presiden 2024. Tujuan dari penelitian ingin melihat resepsi pemilih pemula terhadap pemberitaan media detiknews.com tentang kinerja calon presiden dan calon wakil presiden dalam menarik perhatian masyarakat menjelang pemilu 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Resepsi Stuart Hall yang mengklasifikasikan resepsi pemilih pemula menjadi tiga posisi, yaitu posisi hegemoni dominan, negosiasi dan oposisi. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dari kelima informan yang membaca berita detiknews.com, terdapat tiga informan yang cenderung berada pada posisi hegemoni dominan, karena memang setuju dengan pemberitaan yang sesuai dengan latar belakang pengetahuan. Pada posisi negosiasi ada satu informan yang memang menyetujui adanya visi misi pasangan calon itu satu tujuan untuk Indonesia lebih maju, akan tetapi setelah melihat rekam jejak masing-masing pasangan calon membuat informan lebih kritis lagi dalam memilih pilihannya. Sedangkan pada posisi oposisi ada satu informan tidak menyetujui pesan yang disampaikan pada berita, karena bisa saja kampanye masing-masing pasangan calon dalam menarik perhatian masyarakat hanya umpan merebut kekuasaan. Some people try to find out about developments in the presidential election through the news, both on television and online media. The online media portal detiknews.com is very up to date with news about the 2024 presidential candidates. In its reporting, detiknews.com reports on the campaign performance of each of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates. The performance of the presidential candidates in attracting public attention ahead of the 2024 election. This research uses Stuart Hall's Reception Theory which classifies the reception of first time voters into three positions, namely dominant hegemony, negotiation and opposition positions. The results of this research found that of the five informants who read detiknews.com news, there were three informants who tended to be in a dominant hegemonic position, because they agreed with the news that was in accordance with their background knowledge. In the negotiating position, there was one informant who agreed that the candidates vision and mission had a goal for a more advanced Indonesia, but after seeing the track record of each candidates pair, the informant was even more critical in choosing his choice. Meanwhile, in the opposition position, one informant did not agree with the message conveyed in the news, because it could be that the campaign of each candidates pair to attract public attention was just bait to seize power.
