Abstract

Dengan motivasi belajar dimiliki siswa rendah, kemungkinan siswa merasakan sulit untuk mengerti konsep di materi aljabar dan pemakaian lambang matematika serta pengoperasian pada aljabar. Untuk kemampuan komunikasi siswa berada di kategori lemah seperti siswa tidak bisa untuk menyapaikan gagasan, siswa kesusahan untuk mengerti simbol pada materi aljabar diantara pemicunya ialah kurangnya motivasi belajar pada siswa. Bisa diperhatikan, dari rata-rata nilai hasil UTS siswa kelas VIIE SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023 adalah 46,7% jika dibandingakan dengan nilai KKM maka nilai tersebut masih belum mencapai ketentuan KKM yaitu 78. kuantitatif deskriptif motivasi belajar siswa rendah sebanyak 7 orang, motivasi belajar siswa berkategori sedang sejumlah 47 orang, selanjutnya motivasi belajar siswa tinggi sejumlah 8 orang. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kategori rendah sejumlah 9 siswa, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kategori sedang sejumlah 41 siswa dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tinggi sebanyak 12 siswa. Terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis. 2. Tidak terdapat hubungan motivasi belajar. 3. Ada hubungan motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis. / With low studen motivation to learn, it is likely that strudents find it diffukult to understand concepts in algebra material and the use of mathematical symbols and operations on algebra. For strudents communication skilss are in the weak category such as students unable to convey ideas, students have difficulty understanding symbols in algebra material, one of the triggers is the lack of motivation to learn in students. Strudents in class VIIE do not yet have the ability to think critically and the questions used also do not measure critical thinking ability. It can be noted that the average UTS result for class VIIE students at SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year is 46,7% when compared to the KKM score, this value still has not reached the KKM requirement, which is 78. Quantitativa descriptive student motivation in the moderate category of 47 people, then high student learning motivation numbering 8 people. The students mathematical communication skills in the low category are 9 students, the students mathematical communication skills in the medium category are 41 students and the students mathematical communication skills are in the high category, 12 students. There is a positive relationship between learning motivation and mathematical communication skilss. 2. There is no relationship between learning motivation and critical thinking sklilss. 3. There is a relationship between learning motivation and mathematical communication skilss. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Methematical Communication Ability.
