Abstract

Sarni Paembonan. “Pengaruh Komunikasi dan manajemen konflik terhadap disiplin kerja guru di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao”. Tesis Pascasarjana Program Studi Administrasi/Manajemen Pendidikan Universitas Kristen Indonesia, 2022. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Komunikasi dan manajemen konflik terhadap disiplin kerja guru di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, survei analisis yaitu regresi berganda .Teknik penentuan sampel mengunakan total sampling, yaitu semua guru di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data adalah analisis korelasi dan regresi berganda dengan bantuan Aplikasi SPSS Versi 25. Merujuk pada hasil pengolahan data penelitian, uji coba instrumen pada penelitianini menggunakan 20 orang guru tetap SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao sebagai sampel responden. Hasil pengukuran Dari ketiga variabel adalah komunikasi ( X1) 4,19, manajemen konflik 4,16 dan disiplin kerja 4,32.Komunikasi (X1) memengaruhi disiplin kerja guru (Y) di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh komunikasi terhadap disiplin kerja adalah 0,574. Berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan variabel komunikasi (X1) terhadap disiplin kerja guru(Y) di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh X1 terhadap Y sebesar 57,4%.Manajemen konflik (X2) memengaruhi disiplin kerja guru (Y) di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh Manajemen konflik terhadap disiplin kerja guru adalah 0,528. Berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan variabel manajemen konflik (X2) terhadap disiplin kerja guru (Y) di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh X2 terhadap Y sebesar 52,8%.Komunikasi (X1) dan manajemen konflik (X2)) bisa menjelaskan variasi disiplin kerja. Dilihat dari koefisien determinasi atau “r” sebesar 0,375. Berarti bahwa model yaitu komunikasi (X1) dan manajemen konflik (X2) dapat menjelaskan variasi Disiplin kerja Guru (Y). Model dapat menjelaskan variasi pada Y sebesar 37,5%.Selain daripada itu, masih terdapat guru yang dikategorikan berada pada kategori cukup, sehingga disarankan kepada setiap guru untuk meningkatkan komunikasi dan manajemen konflik guna mendorong meningkatnya disiplin kerja guru. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan terpenuhinya indikator-indikator Disiplin guru antara lain: (1) “Kepatuhan guru terhadap peraturan sekolah”; (2) “Ketepatan waktu guru saat berada di lingkungan sekolah”; (3) “Kesadaran guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya”; dan (4) “Tanggung jawab guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya” Kata Kunci : Komunikasi, Manajemen Konflik, dan Disiplin Kerja. / Sarni Paembonan. "The Influence of Communication and conflict management on teacher work discipline in Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School". Postgraduate Thesis of Educational Administration/Management Study Program, Indonesian Christian University, 2022. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of communication and conflict management on the work discipline of teachers at the Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. This type of research is a quantitative research, survey analysis, namely multiple regression. The sampling technique uses total sampling, namely all teachers in Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. The method used in analyzing the data is correlation analysis and multiple regression with the help of the SPSS Version 25 application. Referring to the results of research data processing, the instrument testing in this study used 20 permanent teachers of Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School as a sample of respondents. The measurement results of the three variables are communication (X1) 4.19, conflict management 4.16 and work discipline 4.32. Communication (X1) affects teacher work discipline (Y) in Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. The influence of communication on work discipline is 0.574. It means that there is a significant effect of the communication variable (X1) on the work discipline of the teacher (Y) at the Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. The influence of X1 on Y is 57.4%. Conflict management (X2) affects teacher work discipline (Y) at Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. The influence of conflict management on teacher work discipline is 0.528. It means that there is a significant effect of conflict management variable (X2) on teacher work discipline (Y) at Tagari Rantepao Christian Vocational School. The influence of X2 on Y is 52.8%. Communication (X1) and conflict management (X2)) can explain variations in work discipline. Judging from the coefficient of determination or "r" of 0.375. It means that the models of communication (X1) and conflict management (X2) can explain variations in Teacher work discipline (Y). The model can explain the variation in Y by 37.5%. Besides that, there are still teachers who are categorized as being in the sufficient category, so it is recommended for each teacher to improve communication and conflict management to encourage increased teacher work discipline. This is evidenced by the fulfillment of indicators for teacher discipline, including: (1) "Teachers' compliance with school regulations"; (2) "The teacher's punctuality while in the school environment"; (3) "Awareness of teachers in carrying out their duties"; and (4) "The responsibility of the teacher in carrying out his duties" Keywords: Communication, Conflict Management, and Work Discipline
