Abstract

Esteh Indonesia adalah salah satu brand pada kategori food & beverages yang populer di kalangan masyarakat saat ini. Dalam menjalankan bisnisnya Esteh Indonesia juga menghadapi berbagai hambatan seperti isu yang beredar mengenai produk minumannya yaitu isu kadar gula yang tinggi pada produk Esteh Indonesia. Pemahaman atas resepsi khalayak menjadi kunci dalam mengidentifikasi cara yang tepat untuk menangani isu kadar gula pada produk Esteh Indonesia. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk menganalisis resepsi khalayak terhadap isu kadar gula pada produk minuman Esteh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara pada lima orang informan. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan, empat informan berada pada posisi negosiasi artinya informan setuju dengan sebagian kode dominan pesan tetapi di sisi lain informan tetap memilih opsi lain diluar kode dominan pesan, posisi khalayak dipengaruhi oleh faktor kurangnya kesadaran pentingnya kandungan makanan minuman dan belum ada urgensi untuk memprioritaskan kesehatan dikarenakan umur informan yang relatif muda dan kondisi informan yang sehat. Satu informan lainnya berada pada posisi hegemonik dominan artinya informan menyetujui kode dominan pesan secara penuh, posisi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor pola konsumsi sehat dan kondisi kehamilan informan. Faktor-faktor seperti kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan, pola konsumsi, kondisi kesehatan, dan tahapan kehidupan informan mempengaruhi resepsi mereka terhadap isu tersebut. Kata kunci: Es Teh Indonesia, Resepsi Khalayak, Isu Kadar Gula. / Esteh Indonesia is one of the popular brands in the food & beverages category among the community today. In conducting its business, Esteh Indonesia faces various obstacles, such as the circulating issue regarding the high sugar content in its beverage products. Understanding public reception becomes crucial in identifying the appropriate way to address the sugar content issue in Esteh Indonesia's products. Through this research, the aim is to analyze public reception towards the sugar content issue in Esteh Indonesia's beverage products. This study employs a qualitative research method, collecting data through interviews with five informants. The research findings indicate that four informants are in a negotiation position, meaning they agree with some dominant message codes but choose alternative options beyond these codes. The public's position is influenced by factors such as a lack of awareness regarding the importance of food and beverage content and the absence of urgency in prioritizing health due to the relatively young age and healthy condition of the informants. Another informant holds a hegemonic dominant position, fully agreeing with the dominant message codes, influenced by healthy consumption patterns and the informant's pregnancy condition. Factors such as health awareness, consumption patterns, health conditions, and life stages influence their reception of the issue.
