Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas kepemimpinan program studi ( Ka. Prodi) FKIP bahasa Mandarin Universitas Kristen Indonesia dalam pembinaan dosen, memotivasi dosen, menciptakan lingkungan kerja dan meningkatkan kompetensi dosen untuk meningkatkan kinerja kerja dosen. Serta mengetahui dan menganalisa efektifitas kepemimpinan ketua program studi bahasa Mandarin Universitas Kristen Indonesia dalam memotivasi dosen untuk meningkatkan prestasi kerja dosen. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif, artinya data yang dikumpulkan bukan berupa angka-angka melainkan data tersebut berasal dari wawancara satu orang ketua program studi dan tujuh dosen serta dengan observasi partisipan, dokumen. Sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data,penyajian data,penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Kepemimpinan kaprodi FKIP bahasa Mandarin UKI dalam meningkatkan kinerja dosen dapat dinyatakan cukup efektif. Hal ini di karenakan seluruh dosen FKIP bahasa Mandarin tetap menjalankan tugas dan fungsinya dengan baik, dengan tetap memberikan kuliah dan menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dan memberikan kuliah pengganti jika berhalangan hadir. Serta dosen tetap mau belajar dengan mengikuti seminar dan melanjutkan pendidikannya agar bisa menambah wawasan ilmu pengetahuan. Kata kunci : Efektifitas, Kepemimpinan, Ketua Prodi dan Kinerja Dosen / Thc purpose of this study was to describe the Effectivity of the leadershipChairman of the Chinese language education in n coaching, motivate lecturer, creating a working environment and improving the competence of lecturers to improve job performance of lecturers. And to know and analyze the effectiveness of leadership chairman Mandarin education courses Indonesian Christian University in motivating faculty to improve job performance of lecturers. The approach taken is with a qualitative approach, meaning that the data collected is not the form of numbers, but the data comes from an interview of the head of the study program and seven lecturers and by participant observation, document. While the data analysis is done by means of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification of data. The results showed Leadership Mandarin education department chainnan Indonesian Christian University in improving faculty performance can be expressed effectively. This is because the entire Chinese lecturer shall perform their tasks and functions very well, while still giving lectures and learning tools to prepare and deliver a replacement if unable to attend college. And lecturers still want to learn to attend seminars and continuing education in order to broaden the horizon of knowledge.
