Abstract
Marni Sanda Panggua. The Effect of Teaching Style and Teacher’s Creativity to the Students’ Achievement at Christian Vocational School of Tagari Rantepao. Postgraduate Thesis of Education Management Program. Christian University of Indonesia, 2021. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of teaching style and teacher’s creativity for improving the students’ achievement at Christian Vocational School of Tagari Rantepao. This is an expost facto research. The sampling technique used was total sampling, using all the teachers at Christian Vocational School of Tagari Rantepao. Data obtained through research instruments by questionnaires which given directly. The research method to analyze data was correlation analyze and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS application version 25. Based on the multiple regression analysis, teaching style has significant effect on students’ achievement at Christian Vocational School of Tagari Rantepao. The effect of teaching style on students’ achievement was 0,681. Moreover, multiple linear regression analysis showed that teacher’s creativity also has significant effect on students’ achievement at Christian Vocational School of Tagari. The effect of teacher’s creativity on students’ achievement was 0,372. Teaching style (X1) and teacher’s creativity (X2) can explain students’ achievement. The coefficient determination as 0,579 means 57,9% the effect of teaching style and teacher’s creativity on students’ achievement at Christian Vocational School of Tagari Rantepao. Moreover, there were teachers which categorized as sufficient in teaching style. So, it is suggested to improve the teaching styles further to encourage students’ achievement. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya mengajar dan kreativitas guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian expost facto . Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan total sampling, yaitu semua guru di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan secara langsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data adalah analisis korelasi dan regresi berganda dengan bantuan Aplikasi SPSS Versi 25. Merujuk pada hasil analisis regresi berganda, gaya mengajar memengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh gaya mengajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa adalah 0,681. Selain daripada itu, kreativitas guru juga memengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Besar pengaruh kreativitas guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa adalah 0,372. Model (gaya mengajar (X1) dan kreativitas guru (X2)) bisa menjelaskan variasi prestasi belajar siswa. Besarnya koefisien determinasi adalah sebesar 0, 579 yang berarti 57,9% pengaruh gaya mengajar dan kreativitas guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari Rantepao. Selain daripada itu, masih terdapat guru yang dikategorikan berada pada kategori cukup, sehingga disarankan kepada setiap guru untuk meningkatkan gaya mengajarnya guna mendorong meningkatnya prestasi siswa.
