Abstract
Asia Pasifik merupakan kawasan strategis dalam hubungan internasional. Asia Pasifik menjadi Kawasan bergengsi. Kekuatan besar saling merebut pengaruh Amerika Serikat(AS) dan China memiliki kepentingan yang sama di Kawasan ini. Pengaruh yang besar akan membawa pada kelancaran realisasi kepentingan negara tersebut. Hal ini menyebabkan China dipandang sebagai negara yang memiliki potensi untuk menjadi negara super power. Pengaruh China meluas di Asia, Amerika Serikat sebagai negara super power dunia merasa perlu untuk meredam kebangkitan China tersebut dan melindungi negara-negara sekutunya di kawasan tersebut. Dalam menyikapi hal tersebut, Amerika Serikat mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk menyaingi China. As bergabung dalam Trans Pacific Partnership, kemudian China begabung dalam Regional Comprehensive Trade Partnership. Untuk memperlihatkan kekuatan atau Balance of Power. Hegemoni dapat dibendung dengan adanya BoP. Hubungan AS-China merupakan hubungan yang rumit. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah tipe penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka (library research) yang bersumber dari buku, jurnal, dokumen dan website yang valid. Sedangkan untuk menganalisis data penulis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Persamaan kepentingan akan perebutan kekuasaan dan pengaruh didalam satu kawasan Asia Pasifik. Kemudian ancaman dan tekanan satu sama lain guna menunjukan kekuatan tercermin dalam pola hubungan AS-China. Hubungan sejarah masa lalu akan adanya paham dan blok. /Asia Pacific is a strategic area in international relations. Asia Pacific is a prestigious region. Great powers seize influence from each other in the region. Asia Pacific is a diverse region. within the great power that exists, there are two great powers that are very strong. The United States and China have common interests in the Region. China is predicted to replace the United States as world hegemon. China's influence extends in Asia, the United States as a world super power country feels the need to reduce China's rise and protect its allied countries in the region. In response to this, the United States issued a policy to compete with China. As founded the Trans Pacific Partnership, then China established the Comprehensive Regional Trade Partnership. This is done to balance the strength or Balance of Power. Hegemony can be dammed by the presence of the BoP. The US-China relationship is a complicated one. To achieve this research objective, the research method that the writer uses is descriptive type of research with data collection techniques through library research which comes from books, journals, documents and valid websites. Meanwhile, to analyze the data the author uses qualitative analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the same interests will be struggling for power and influence within an Asia Pacific region. Then the threats and pressure from each other to show strength are reflected in the pattern of US-China relations. Past historical relationships will exist of understands and blocks.
