Abstract

Karakteristik Pasien Glaukoma Primer di Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta Periode Juli 2018 - Juli 2020. Tugas Akhir. Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Jakarta. Pendahuluan: Glaukoma merupakan neuropati optik kronis dengan karakteristik Penyempitan lapang pandang, berhubungan dengan peningkatan tekanan intra okuler (TIO), dan kasus yang meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia. Di Indonesia, sebagian besar pasien glaukoma belum melakukan deteksi dan pencegahan, sehingga banyak pasien datang dengan stadium lanjut ataupun telah terjadi kebutaan total. Sehingga, glaukoma menjadi penyebab kebutaan kedua terbanyak di seluruh dunia setelah katarak. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien glaukoma primer di Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta, selama periode Juli 2018 - Juli 2020. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian retrospektif yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan cross-sectional, yang dilakukan Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta pada bulan Januari 2021 sampai Februari 2021, dengan jumlah data sampel sebesar 59 pasien. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Mayoritas pasien glaukoma primer didiagnosis menderita POAG; 2) Mayoritas pasien glaukoma primer berusia 46-65 tahun, dengan rata-rata usia 54 tahun; 3) Pasien glaukoma primer lebih banyak berjenis kelamin perempuan; 4) Keluhan yang paling banyak dialami oleh pasien glaukoma primer adalah pandangan kabur dan nyeri mata; 5) Pasien glaukoma primer memiliki TIO lebih dari 21 mmHg; 6) Hasil pemeriksaan perimetri menunjukkan sebagian besar mengalami kelainan lapang pandang pada tingkat moderat. Kesimpulan: Rumah sakit dapat mengembangkan program deteksi dini (terkait faktor-faktor), edukasi, dan penanganan awal pada pasien glaukoma, sehingga penurunan kondisi kesehatan mata pada pasien yang telah dapat dicegah dan mengurangi risiko terjadinya kebutaan. Introduction: Glaucoma is a chronic optic neuropathy characterized by a loss of visual field, associated with increased intraocular pressure (IOP), and cases that increase with age. In Indonesia, most glaucoma patients have not done detection and prevention, so many patients come with an advanced stage or have total blindness. Thus, glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness worldwide after cataracts. Purpose: This study aims to determine the characteristics of primary glaucoma patients at the Indonesian Christian University Hospital, during the period July 2018 - July 2020. Methods: This research is a retrospective type of research conducted with a cross-sectional approach, which was conducted at the Jakarta Christian University Hospital in January 2021 to February 2021, with a total of 59 patients. Results: The results of the analysis show that: 1) The majority of primary glaucoma patients were diagnosed with POAG; 2) The majority of primary glaucoma patients were aged 46-65 years, with a mean age of 54 years; 3) Primary glaucoma patients are predominantly female; 4) The most common complaints experienced by primary glaucoma patients are blurred vision and eye pain; 5) Primary glaucoma patients have IOP greater than 21 mmHg; 6) The results of perimetric examination showed that most of them had moderate level of visual field abnormalities. Conclusion: The hospital can develop a program of early detection (related to factors), education, and early treatment of glaucoma patients, so that the deterioration of eye health conditions in patients can be prevented and reduce the risk of blindness.
