Abstract

Hypertension or raised blood pressure is a condition in which the blood vessels have persistently raised pressure after checking twice with an interval of five minutes. Based on data from the Journal of Pre-Clinical and Clinical Research in 2011 entitled Hypertension - The Silent Killer, as many as 26% of the world's population suffers from hypertension. Data of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 globally, the number of people with hypertension is around 1.13 billion people in the world, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world is diagnosed with hypertension. It is estimated that in 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people who will be affected by hypertension because the number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year. The type of research is analytic observational research using a cross�sectional study design. This study uses a prospective approach because the type of data uses primary data in the form of a questionnaire that is distributed to respondents at the time after work, blood pressure measurements are carried out before and after work. Obtained 57 total samples of social workers at the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Deaf Sensory Disabilities Melati Jakarta. The results of the study showed a significant correlation between stress levels and increased blood pressure (P = 0.002) and showed a moderate (r = 0.407) close relationship with a positive pattern.
