Abstract

This paper is an introduction to the TOD Workshop, which was held at the 10 PTS (Private Universities) Jakarta Collaboration in November 2018, which took place at the Architecture Study Program, FT UKI, Jl. May. Gen. Sutoyo no 2, East Jakarta. The theme of this WORKSHOP is about TOD or Transit Oriented Development for the City of Jakarta. This theme is very relevant for UKI Lecturers' Scientific Paper Books, in supporting Digitalization and Internationalization towards Superior University Accreditation (APT) The city of Jakarta has grown very rapidly, especially in the decades after the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945. This city took a very important position after the Dutch East Indies Government established it as the center of government and was continued by the Republic of Indonesia. Population growth has had implications for the development of transportation, which has been paying less attention to public transportation. Since the period of Governor Fauzibowo's administration, mass transportation planning has been made, its implementation has been carried out since the Governor Jokowidodo period, which we see today with the construction of the LRT and the MRT to continue the Transjakarta concept. These various types and modes of transportation result in the intersection and crossing of these types of transportation, which need special attention, as well as to see the development potential for the surrounding area. Regional development in transit areas for various types of transportation is seen as a Transport-based Development model, or “Transit Oriented Development”. Development themes like this have been going on for a long time, especially in Europe and America, but for Indonesia, things that are new to Indonesia are now being paid attention, even though they have been developed so far. Keywords: Transit, Development, Jakarta
