Abstract

Desain fasad rumah minimalis tidak lagi dapat dianggap sebagai elemen yang statis, melainkan perlu bersifat dinamis untuk mendukung preferensi estetika penghuni yang terus berkembang. Fleksibilitas desain fasad menjadi sangat penting untuk memungkinkan modifikasi yang sesuai dengan selera, tren, dan kebutuhan penghuni, tanpa mengorbankan prinsip utama arsitektur minimalis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana para penghuni memodifikasi atau mempertahankan fasad rumah mereka untuk mengekspresikan preferensi estetika pribadi, serta bagaimana hal tersebut mempengaruhi kepuasan mereka terhadap hunian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji variasi dan varian fasad perumahan bergaya minimalis berdasarkan perspektif estetika para penghuni di Perumahan Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik observasi langsung pada unit rumah yang telah mengalami modifikasi fasad. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori estetika dari A.A.M. Djelantik, yang membahas elemen-elemen estetika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun desain minimalis menawarkan kesederhanaan dan modernitas, penghuni masih melakukan berbagai modifikasi pada fasad rumah mereka untuk memenuhi kebutuhan estetika dan sosial yang lebih personal. Modifikasi ini mencakup penambahan elemen dekoratif, perubahan warna, hingga penyesuaian bentuk geometris yang lebih kompleks, yang semuanya dipengaruhi oleh gaya hidup, status sosial, dan keinginan untuk menampilkan identitas individu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan yang kuat antara desain fasad minimalis dan kepuasan estetika penghuni, di mana fleksibilitas desain menjadi faktor penting dalam adaptasi gaya minimalis terhadap selera dan preferensi yang beragam. Studi ini memberikan wawasan bagi para arsitek dan pengembang perumahan untuk mempertimbangkan elemen estetika penghuni dalam merancang hunian minimalis yang tidak hanya fungsional, tetapi juga dapat diadaptasi sesuai kebutuhan personal. Kata kunci: fasad minimalis, estetika, modifikasi fasad. / The design of minimalist house facades can no longer be considered static elements; instead, they must be dynamic to support the evolving aesthetic preferences of residents. The flexibility of facade design is crucial to accommodate modifications that align with residents' tastes, trends, and needs without compromising the core principles of minimalist architecture. This research explores how residents modify or maintain their house facades to express personal aesthetic preferences and how these modifications affect their satisfaction with their homes. The study aims to examine variations and variants of minimalist-style housing facades based on the aesthetic perspectives of residents at Bekasi. This research employs a qualitative method with direct observation techniques on housing units that have undergone facade modifications. The data collected are analyzed using A.A.M. Djelantik's theory of aesthetics, which addresses the elements of aesthetics. The findings reveal that while minimalist design offers simplicity and modernity, residents still make various modifications to their house facades to meet more personal aesthetic and social needs. These modifications include adding decorative elements, changing colors, and adjusting geometric forms to more complex shapes, all influenced by lifestyle, social status, and the desire to express individual identity. The study concludes that there is a strong correlation between minimalist facade design and residents' aesthetic satisfaction, where design flexibility plays a crucial role in adapting minimalist styles to diverse tastes and preferences. This research provides insights for architects and housing developers to consider residents' aesthetic elements in designing minimalist homes that are not only functional but also adaptable to personal needs.
