Abstract

Nugraha Robert Kurniawan. Pendampingan Ayah bagi pembentukan karakter anak di GPIB Galilea Bekasi. Tesis. Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Agama Kristen Pascasarjana Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta. 2018. Masalah penelitian dilatarbelakangi bahwa figur seorang ayah yang kurang memperhatikan anak-anaknya melalui pendampingan. Kurangnya Otoritas Ayah sebagai kepala keluarga karena Ibu mulai berperan dalam mencari nafkah. Ayah menganggap peran pendampingan hanya dilakukan oleh Ibu. kurangnya perhatian dan menghabiskan waktu dengan pekerjaan. Kurangnya pendampingan Ayah terhadap anaknya memberikan dampak yang negatif terhadap pembentukan karakter anak. Kurangnya pendampingan Ayah terhadap anak bertentangan dengan tugas yang dinyatakan melalui Alkitab. Penelitian ini dilakukan di GPIB Galilea Bekasi Tujuan diadakan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pandangan Ayah mengenai pendampingan. Untuk mengidentifikasikan faktor yang mempengaruhi pendampingan akan efektif untuk anak. Untuk menganalisis dampak pendampingan Ayah terhadap pembentukan karakter anak. untuk menjelaskan pandangan Kristen mengenai pendampingan Ayah bagi pembentukan karakter anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Teknik Penelitian adalah wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Setiap Ayah sungguh mengerti peran dan tanggung jawabnya di dalam kehidupan keluarga, terutama di hadapan anak-ananya. Hanya saja, di dalam hal mendidik masih di dapati ketimpangan, dikarenakan para ayah masih beranggapan bahwa tugas mendidik adalah tugas ibu. Master of Christian Education Graduate Christian University of Indonesia, Jakarta. 2018 The research problem is motivated that the figure of a father who pay less attention to his children through mentoring. Lack of Father's Authority as the head of the family because Mother began to play a role in earning a living. Father assumes the role of mentoring is only done by Mother. Lack of attention and spend time with work. Lack of Father's assistance to his son has a negative impact on the character formation of children. Lack of Father's guidance to children contradicts the tasks expressed through the Bible. This research was conducted at GPIB Galilea Bekasi. The purpose of the research is to describe father's view of caring. To identify factors that influence caring will be effective for the child. To analyze the impact of Father's mentoring on the character formation of the child. To explain the Christian view of Father's accompaniment for the characterization of the child's character. The research method used in this research is qualitative. Research technique is interview. The results of this study indicate that each father really understood the role and responsibility in family life, especially in front of his children. However, in terms of educating is still in inequality, because the fathers still think that the task of educating is the mother's duty. Keywords: Caring, Father, Character Building, and Children.
