Abstract
Plastik LLDPE (Low Linear Density Poly Ethylene) sebagai salah satu jenis plastik yang biasa digunakan untuk bahan kemasan seperti kemasan gula putih, kemasan es batu yang masih belum dimanfaatkan secara efektif karena sulit terurai. Bahan campuran LLDPE mampu meningkatkan stabilitas pada beton aspal. Aspal beton terdiri dari campuran agregat (agregat kasar, agregat halus, filler) dan selebihnya adalah bahan pengikat (bitumen). Penelitian ini mengambil 3 jenis pasir yaitu pasir gunung Merapi, pasir sungai Serayu, pasir beton sebagai pengganti agregat halus untuk campuran beton aspal. Kondisi fisik yang berbeda beda diharapkan mampu memperbaiki kinerja campuran beton aspal panas. Penelitian ini akan melakukan uji basah kering terhadap campuran beton aspal panas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan berbagai jenis pasir jika ada penambahan plastik LLDPE pada campuran aspal dengan menggunakan kadar aspal optimum 6,5% dari total campuran dan kadar LLDPE optimum sebesar 0,4% dari total aspal. Penelitian ini membandingkan pasir gunung Merapi, pasir sungai Serayu, dan pasir beton yang banyak digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti agregat halus dalam campuran beton aspal panas dan dengan uji basah kering agar dapat dilihat perbandingan penyerapan pasir-pasir tersebut dan telah di uji marshall. Dari hasil uji marshall di dapat pasir gunung Merapi memiliki nilai persyaratan Bina Marga yang lebih baik dari pasir sungai Serayu dan pasir beton sedangkan untuk uji basah kering dan tanpa uji basah kering pasir Merapi merupakan nilai penurunan yang lebih sedikit dari pada pasir Serayu dan pasir beton. Kata kunci : pasir gunung Merapi, pasir sungai Serayu, pasir beton, plastik LLDPE, uji Marshall, uji basah kering. / LLDPE (Low Linear Density Poly Ethylene) plastic as a type of plastic that is commonly used for packaging materials such as white sugar packaging, ice cube packaging that is still not used effectively because it is difficult to decompose. LLDPE mixture material can increase stability in asphalt concrete. Asphalt concrete consists of a mixture of aggregate (coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, filler) and the rest is a binding material (bitumen). This study took 3 types of sand, namely Mount Merapi sand, Serayu River sand, concrete sand as a substitute for fine aggregate for asphalt concrete mixture. Different physical conditions are expected to improve the performance of hot asphalt concrete mixes. This research will conduct a dry wet test of the hot asphalt concrete mixture. This study aims to determine the comparison of various types of sand when there is the addition of LLDPE plastic to the asphalt mixture by using an optimum asphalt content of 6.5% of the total mixture and an optimum LLDPE content of 0.4% of the total asphalt. This study compares Mount Merapi sand, Serayu River sand, and concrete sand which are widely used as a substitute for fine aggregate in hot asphalt concrete mixes and with dry wet test so that it can be seen the comparison of sand absorption and has been tested by Marshall. From the results of the marshall test in Mount Merapi sand, the Bina Marga requirements are better than the Serayu River sand and concrete sand, while for the dry and dry wet test, the Merapi sand is a lower value than the Serayu sand and concrete sand.
