Abstract
In December 2019, a mysterious pneumonia case was found and was first reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Came to be known as COVID-19 with the etiology of SARS-Cov-2. C-Reactive Protein is a homopentameric protein elevated in inflammatory conditions. The erithrocyte sedimentation rate concentration is generally increased in inflammation. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between CRP and LED concentrations with the status of the PCR diagnostic results in patients. This type of research is a correlation study with a cross sectional approach. The data taken were the results of the first PCR and laboratory examinations for COVID-19. The population of this study were patients under monitoring of COVID--19 who were treated at a hospital in East Bekasi, West Java. The sample of this study were 65 people, consisting of 28 (43.1%) negative COVID-19 patients and 37 (56.9%) positive COVID-19 patients. The results showed that at the beginning of the patient's PCR examination for COVID-19, there was a significantly weak increase in CRP (r = 0.311) and there was a significant relationship between the COVID-19 PCR results and the patient's CRP level (p = 0.040) in the age group of 1-40 years. In addition, there was an increase in respiratory rate in patients with high CRP with weak significance (r = 0.366) and a significant relationship between the results of CRP examination and the patient's respiratory rate (p = 0.026) and a strong significant relationship between the results of CRP and ESR (p = 0.000). Keywords: COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, CRP, LED, Respiratory Rate
