Abstract

Penggunaan telepon genggam sudah sangat umum dan dapat menimbulkan masalah. Masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi adalah Asthenopia yang muncul karena pekerjaan jarak dekat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menentukan hubungan antara jarak dengan kemunculan gejala Asthenopia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan kuisioner yang diisi 123 responden. Dari 96 responden pengguna telepon genggam kurang dari 30 cm: 74 responden (77,1 %) mengalami Asthenopia ringan, 18 responden (18,8 %) mengalami Asthenopia sedang dan 4 responden (4,2 %) mengalami Asthenopia berat. Pada penguna telepon genggam diatas 30 cm: 22 responden (81,5 %) mengalami Asthenopia ringan, 5 responden (18,5 %) mengalami Asthenopia sedang dan tidak ada yang mengalami Asthenopia berat. Penelitian menggunakan uji analisis dengan uji non-parametrik Chi Square dan hasilnya tidak signifikan (p= 0.362). Kesimpulan: jarak tidak mempengaruhi gejala Asthenopia pada kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2015. Kata kunci: Pengguna Telepon Genggam, Asthenopia, Jarak. / The use of mobile phones is common nowadays and can cause problems. A health problem caused by mobile phone usage is Asthenopia that occurs because of near-work. This research is to determine the correlation between distance and subjective Asthenopia. This research used questionnaire filled by 123 respondents. 96 respondents who uses their mobile phones at distance below 30 cm, there are 74 respondents (77,1 %) have mild Asthenopia, 18 respondents (18,8 %) moderat Asthenopia and 4 respondents (4,2 %) severe Asthenopia. 27 respondents, who uses their phone at distance above 30 cm, there are 22 respondents (81,5 %) have mild Asthenopia, 5 respondents (18,5 %) moderate Asthenopia and no one severe Asthenopia. The research used non parametric Chi Square analysis with a nonsignificant result (p= 0,362). Conclusion: viewing distance of using does not correlate with Asthenopia within the medical students of Christian University of Indonesia batch 2015.
