Abstract

Di Indonesia, Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) selalu menempati urutan pertama penyebab kematian pada kelompok bayi dan balita. Survei mortalitas yang dilakukan oleh Subdit ISPA tahun 2013 menempatkan ISPA/Pneumonia sebagai penyebab kematian bayi terbesar di Indonesia dengan persentase 32,30% dari seluruh kematian bayi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya ada hubungan antara perilaku merokok keluarga dengan frekuensi kejadian ISPA pada balita di desa Karang Setia dengan uji analitik cross-sectional dan pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasilnya terdapat hubungan antara beberapa faktor, yaitu lamanya balita terpapar asap rokok di dalam rumah, frekuensi merokok anggota keluarga di rumah, dan jenis rokok yang digunakan dengan nilai p= 0,000 dan tingkat kekuatan korelasi sedang atau cukup berarti. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif antara perilaku merokok keluarga di rumah terhadap frekuensi kejadian ISPA pada balita. Kata Kunci : Frekuensi kejadian ISPA, perilaku merokok keluarga, balita. / In Indonesia, Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) always ranks first as the cause of death in infants and toddlers. Mortality survey conducted by the ISPA Sub Directorate in 2013 places ARI / Pneumonia as the biggest cause of infant death in Indonesia with a percentage of 32.30% of all infant deaths. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between family smoking behavior and the frequency of ARI events in infants in Karang Setia village with cross-sectional analytical tests and data collection using a questionnaire. The result is a relationship between several factors, namely the length of time a toddler is exposed to cigarette smoke in the house, the frequency of smoking family members at home, and the type of cigarette used with a value of p = 0,000 and the level of correlation strength is moderate or quite significant. These results indicate that there is a positive influence between family smoking behavior at home on the frequency of ARI events in toddlers.
