Abstract
ABSTRAK Gowasa, Haniati. Pengaruh Nilai Karakter Dan Wawasan Kebangsaan Terhadap Kecerdasan Emosional Siswa SMA Swasta Kampus Telukdalam Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Program Pascasarjana, Program Studi Administrasi Manajemen Pendidikan, Magister Pendidikan (M.Pd) 2024, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) Jakarta. Nilai karakter dan wawasan kebangsaan berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional siswa dengan membantu mereka mengelola dan memahami emosi secara efektif, serta mempromosikan hubungan sosial yang sehat dan tanggung jawab terhadap negara. Namun, banyak siswa masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola karakter dan emosi mereka, menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara teori dan penerapan dalam praktik pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif nilai karakter dan wawasan kebangsaan terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis SPSS dan pendekatan korelasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai karakter (X1) memiliki nilai t hitung sebesar 3,829 dan nilai t tabel sebesar 1,675, dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,504 atau 50,4%. Sedangkan wawasan kebangsaan (X2) memiliki nilai t hitung sebesar 2,053 dan nilai t tabel sebesar 1,675, dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,267 atau 26,7%. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai karakter dan wawasan kebangsaan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosional (Y). Koefisien determinasi (R2) dari hasil perhitungan Adjusted R Square adalah sebesar 0,728 atau 72,8%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah nilai karakter dan wawasan kebangsaan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa. Pengembangan program pendidikan yang lebih baik dapat membantu siswa dalam mengelola kecerdasan emosional mereka secara efektif. The Influence of Character Values and National Insight on the Emotional Intelligence of Private High Schools Students at Telukdalam Campus South Nias Regency. Postgraduate Program, Education Management Administration Study Program, Master of Education (M.Pd) 2024, Indonesian Christian University (UKI) Jakarta. Character values and national insight play a significant role in enhancing students' emotional intelligence by helping them effectively manage and understand emotions, promoting healthy social relationships, and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the country. However, many students still face challenges in managing their character and emotions, indicating a gap between theory and practice in education. This study aims to determine the positive influence of character values and national insight on students' emotional intelligence. The research method used is quantitative with SPSS analysis and a correlational approach. Data was collected through questionnaires and observations. The results show that character values (X1) have a t-value of 3.829 and a t-table value of 1.675, with a regression coefficient of 0.504 or 50.4%. National insight (X2) has a t-value of 2.053 and a t-table value of 1.675, with a regression coefficient of 0.267 or 26.7%. Hypothesis testing indicates that character values and national insight simultaneously have a significant effect on emotional intelligence (Y). The determination coefficient (R2) from the Adjusted R Square calculation is 0.728 or 72.8%. The conclusion of this study is that character values and national insight simultaneously affect students' emotional intelligence.
