Abstract
Indonesia's geographical location in the Pacific Ring of Fire region makes earthquakes one of the natural threats that often occur. Earthquake vibrations that are high enough can shake buildings to collapse, potentially causing large loss of life. Given the random and unpredictable nature of earthquake strength, static and dynamic analysis of buildings is needed to determine the behavior of structures against various earthquake intensities. This study uses Hotel Zest Yogyakarta as the research object with the equivalent static analysis method and spectral response analysis based on the latest earthquake standard, namely SNI 1726-2019. The purpose of this study is to determine the structural response to static and dynamic earthquakes and identify the differences in structural response results to static and dynamic earthquakes. The comparison was made by looking at the differences in several parameters such as the sliding force, displacement, and deviation between floors that occurred. The analysis was carried out with the help of the ETABS V.18 application. The results of the analysis show that structures with spectral response earthquake loads have deviation values between floors and structural stability that still meet the requirements, while structures with equivalent static earthquake loads have deviation values between floors that exceed the permit limit. This happens because the structure has irregularities 1a, even so, the structure still meets the structural stability requirements. From the comparison of the three indicators, the equivalent static analysis always shows a greater value than the spectral response. This is because the equivalent static analysis only takes into account the vibration of the first mode, in which the load calculation is used the period in which the acceleration of the peak earthquake occurs. In the calculation of the equivalent static earthquake load, the period used is 0.5793 seconds, where according to the earthquake spectrum data, in that period the largest earthquake acceleration of 0.810 g occurred.
