Abstract

Secara tradisional ketepeng cina telah digunakan dalam pengobatan alternatif misalnya untuk mengobati tifus, diabetes, malaria, asma, herpes, eksim, sembelit, tukak lambung, sifilis, herpes, influenza, bronchitis, cacingan, dan berbagai penyakit kulit akibat jamur seperti panu, kurap dan kudis. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa aktif, aktivitas antioksidan dan potensi antijamur dari berbagai ekstrak daun ketepeng cina. Sampel diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%, etil asetat dan N-heksana. Analisis fitokimia yang dilakukan menggunakan metode Harbone, uji antijamur memakai metode difusi agar dan uji antioksidan dengan metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl). Hasil Fitokimia membuktikan semua ekstrak daun ketepeng cina dengan pelarut etanol 70%, etil asetat, N-heksana mengandung alkaloid, saponin, tanin, flavonoid, triterpenoid, steroid, glikosida. Sedangkan pada uji antioksidan menyatakan bahwa pada pelarut etanol dan etil asetat memiliki potensi antioksidan yang kuat, dengan nilai IC50 yang diperoleh adalah 66,01 ppm dan 78,23 ppm. Sedangkan pada pelarut N-heksana memiliki potensi antioksidan yang sedang dengan nilai IC50 yang diperoleh adalah 138,80 ppm. Hasil rataan diameter zona hambat Candida albicans secara berurutan adalah 8,66 mm, 10,22 mm, 8,84 mm, 26,36 mm dan 0 mm sedangkan diameter zona hambat Cryptococcus neoformans secara berurutan adalah 0 mm, 4,84 mm, 4,44 mm, 26,50 mm dan 0 mm. Kata kunci : Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, ketepeng cina, Senna alata (L.) Roxb, Cassia alata, aktivitas antijamur. / Traditionally, Candle bush have been used as an alternative medicine for typhus, diabetes, malaria, herpes, eczema, asthma, stomach ulcers, syphilis, herpes, influenza, bronchitis, intestinal worms, fungal skin diseases such as tinea versicolor, ringworm and scabies. The objective of the study was to determine the active compounds, antioxidant activity, and antifungal potency of various extract of candle bush leaves. Samples were extracted using maceration method with 70% ethanol, ethyl acetate and N-hexane as solvents. Phytochemical analysis used the Harbone method, antifungal testing using the agar diffusion method and antioxidant testing using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl). Phytochemical results proved that all Candle bush leaves extracts with 70% ethanol, ethyl acetate, N-hexane as solvents contained alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, triterpenoids, steroids, glycosides. While the antioxidant test stated that ethanol and ethyl acetate solvents had strong antioxidant potential, with IC50 values obtained were 66.01 ppm and 78.23 ppm. While the solvent Nhexane has a moderate antioxidant potential with the IC50 value obtained is 138.80 ppm. The average diameters of the candida albicans in order are 8,66 mm, 10,22 mm, 8,84 mm, 26,36 mm and 0 mm. The average diameters of the Cryptococcus neoformans in order are 0 mm, 4,84 mm, 4,44 mm, 26,50 mm dan 0 mm. Keywords : Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, Candle bush, Senna alata (L.)
