Abstract

Baja Lapis Galvalume dan baja lapis galvanize dikenal karena penggunaannya dalam sector konstruksi. Mempertimbangkan perspektif sifat mekanik, baja galvalume diketahui menunjukkan sifat mekanik yang lebih baik dibandingkan lembaran baja galvanis karena suhu yang lebih tinggi untuk lelehan paduan 55% Al-Zn pelapisan logam . Penulis ingin membandingkan dan mengevaluasi perbedaan hasil sifat mekanik (tensile strength, yield strength, total elongation dan hardening coefficient) dari lembaran galvanis dan lembaran berlapis galvalume dan juga untuk mengevaluasi seberapa banyak pelapisan mempengaruhi sifat mekanik dari kedua lapis produk tersebut. Penelitian memakai metode penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif dan studi eksperimental. Pengujian dilakukan melalui pengamatan struktur kristal memakai SEM , uji kekerasan dengan metode Rockwell dan kuat Tarik. Hasil pengujian kekerasan menunjukkan bahwa plat galvalume(rerata nilai nya 89.89 HRB) lebih besar dari galvanize (rerata nilai nya 80.83 HRB). kuat Tarik pada Tensile Strength menunjukkan bahwa plat galvalume(rerata nilai nya 668.143 Rm) dan galvanize (rerata nilai nya 668.903). lalu pada nilai yield strength dan elongation menunjukkan bahwa galvanize lebih besar dari galvalume. SEM menunjukkan perbedaan lapisan dan komposisi yang berbeda , galvalume memiliki unsur Al dan Zn pada lapisan atas nya yang menutupi base metal (Unsur Fe dan C) . Pada galvanize memiliki usur Zn pada lapisan atas nya yang menutupi base metal. Kata Kunci : Baja Lapis Galvalume , Baja Lapis Galvanize , kekerasan , kuat Tarik , SEM. / Galvalume coated steel and galvanized steel are well-known for their use in the construction sector. From the perspective of mechanical properties, galvalume steel is known to exhibit better mechanical properties compared to galvanize steel sheets due to the higher temperatures involved in the melting of the 55% Al-Zn alloy coating. This study aims to compare and evaluate the differences in mechanical properties (tensile strength, yield strength, total elongation, and hardening coefficient) between galvanized sheets and Galvalume coated sheets, and to assess how much the coating affects the mechanical properties of both products. The research employs a quantitative methodology using descriptive methods and experimental studies. Testing includes crystal structure observation using SEM, hardness testing using the Rockwell method, and tensile strength testing. Hardness test results show that Galvalume plates (average value of 89.89 HRB) are harder than galvanized plates (average value of 80.83 HRB). Tensile strength testing shows that the tensile strength of Galvalume plates (average value of 668.143 Rm) is slightly lower than that of galvanized plates (average value of 668.903 Rm). Yield strength and elongation values indicate that galvanized steel has higher values than Galvalume. SEM analysis shows differences in layers and composition: Galvalume has Al and Zn elements in the top layer covering the base metal (Fe and C elements), while galvanized steel has Zn elements in the top layer covering the base metal.
