Abstract
Konsumen berhak mendapat keamanan barang dan jasa yang ditawarkan. Produk barang/jasa makanan tidak boleh membahayakan jika dikonsumsi sehingga konsumen tidak dirugikan baik secara jasmani dan rohani. Produk yang ditawarkan pun dapat berupa pangan yaitu pokok kebutuhan manusia yang tidak dapat ditinggalkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun produk pangan masih jauh dari kata aman. Hal ini juga menyebabakan produsen semakin mengabaikan keselamatan konsumen. Produk makanan masih banyak yang mengandung bahan bahan pewarna dan juga pengawet Boraks yang sangat merugikan kehidupan konsumen. Sengketa perlindungan konsumen makanan yang mengandung Boraks tidak bisa di pungkiri dan harus diatasi demi kepentingan pengguna baarang/jasa tersebut termasuk pangan pangan yang dikonsumsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif dimana melakukan pengumpulan data melalui penelitian kepustakaan berdasarkan data yang relevan dan dengan pokok masalah yang akan dibahas. Dimana metode ini mengumpulkan data data relevan mengenai Perlindungan Konsumen yang menyangkut makanan mengandung bahan bahan berbahaya seperti Boraks. / Consumers are entitled to the security of goods and services offered. Food products / services should not be harmful if consumed so that consumers are not harmed both physically and spiritually. The product offered can also be in the form of food, which is a staple of human needs that cannot be left behind in everyday life. But food products are far from safe. This also causes producers to increasingly ignore consumer safety. There are still many food products that contain coloring ingredients and also Borax preservatives which are very detrimental to the lives of consumers. Disputes about the protection of food consumers containing Borax cannot be denied and must be addressed for the benefit of the user / service including food consumed. The research method used is normative legal research where data collection through library research is based on relevant data and the subject matter to be discussed. Where this method collects relevant data data regarding Consumer Protection concerning food containing hazardous ingredients such as Borax.
