Abstract
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one of the common types of urogenital infections that occur frequently both among the general public and within hospital settings. Tract Infection is an infection caused by the proliferation of microorganisms, the most common cause of UTI is bacterium Escherichia coli. Urinary Tract Infection is an infectious disease that ranks second after respiratory tract infection. According to estimates from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the number of urinary tract infection cases in Indonesia is projected to reach 90-100 cases per 100,000 people per year. This infection is more common in females compared to males due to anatomical differences in the urinary tract. Females have a shorter urethra compared to males, making it easier for microorganisms to enter the urinary tract. This research aims to describe the incidence rates of urinary tract infections based on age, gender, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, recurrent UTIs, and clinical manifestations. The method employed in this research is descriptive, which describes an occurrence without seeking relationships between variables. In this research, secondary data in the form of medical records were used. Based on the medical records from the Universitas Kristen Indonesia Hospital in the Years 2020-2021, 102 patients with urinary tract infections were identified, and they met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The incidence of urinary tract infections based on age was highest in the 22-59 age group, with 53 patients (52.0%). The majority of cases were in females, with 62 patients (60.8%). The number of patients with hypertension was 45 (44.1%). The number of patients with diabetes mellitus was 25 (24.5%). The number of patients with recurrent UTIs was 53 (52.0%). The most common clinical manifestation experienced by patients was dysuria, with 81 patients (79.4%). Keywords: Characteristics, Comorbid Disease, Urinary Tract Infection
