Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia milenial semakin hari semakin berkembang, terutama dalam bidang internet gaming. WHO dan DSM-5 telah membenarkan adanya gangguan baru yaitu internet gaming disorder. Kecanduan bermain game masih dalam perdebatan bagi para ilmuwan dalam mengidentifikasikan hal tersebut sebagai gangguan. Tentunya kecanduan bermain game juga mempengaruhi kondisi fisik, psikis, dan sosial, termasuk pendidikan. Peneilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari pengaruh kecanduan bermain game online terhadap kualitas belajar pada mahasiswa FK UKI angkatan 2015-2017. Tujuan lainnya adalah untuk mengetahui durasi mahasiswa bermain game online dan jumlah waktu yang digunakan untuk belajar materi kedokteran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di FK UKI dengan jumlah sampel 134 responden. Hasil analisis yang didapat menggunakan analisis Pearson Chi-Square dengan hasil nilai 0.691 (p > 0.05), menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara kecanduan bermain game dengan kualitas belajar mahasiswa FK UKI angkatan 2015-2017. Kata kunci: kecanduan, game online, kualitas belajar Technological developments in the millennial world are increasingly developing, especially in the field of internet gaming. WHO and DSM-5 have agreed to a new disorder, namely the internet gaming disorder. Gaming addiction is still in argumentation for scientists in identifying it as a disorder. Certainly, gaming addiction also affects on physical, psychological, and social conditions, including education. This study aims to learn about the impact of online gaming addiction towards the quality of learning of FK UKI students in the class of 2015-2017. Another goal is to study the duration of students who play online games and the amount of time spent studying medical material. This study uses a cross sectional survey method. This research was conducted in FK UKI with a sample of 134 respondents. The results of the analysis obtained using Pearson Chi-Square analysis with a value of 0.691 (p > 0.05), showed that there was no relationship between addictions to playing games with the quality of learning of FK UKI students in the class of 2015-2017.
