Abstract

Maraknya siswa bermain game online membuat guru dan orang tua menjadi kuatir akan dampak yang di timbulkan dari game online. Perhatian dan waktu siswa yang selama ini di gunakan untuk belajar dapat menurun karena teralihkan oleh game online. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak game online terhadap minat belajar siswa dan upaya guru untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari . Metode yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini menngunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi,wawancara dan studi dokumen. Informan utama pada penelitian ini yakni siswa dan guru sedangkan informan tambahan yakni orang tua siswa. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui intensitas siswa bermain game online terdapat dua kategori yakni kategori siswa yang pasif dan yang aktif.Untuk siswa yang aktif bermain game online di bagi dalam dalam 4 kelompok sesuai jumlah durasi bermain game yakni intensitas rendah,intensitas sedang, intensitas tinggi dan intensitas sangat tinggi. Sedangkan untuk mengukur minat belajar siswa peneliti mengunakan empat indikator yakni rasa ingin tahu,perhatian, keterlibatan dan rasa senang.Hasil penelitian menunjukan game online memiliki dampak negative terhadap minat belajar siswa di SMK Kristen Tagari . Diman semakin tinggi durasi siswa bermain game online semakin rendah minat belajarnya. kelompok pasif atau yang tidak bermain game online memiliki minat belajar tinggi bernilai = 3,01. Kelompok intensitas rendah memiliki minat belajar tinggi bernilai=2,81. Kelompok intensitas sedang memiliki minat belajar rendah bernilai =2.47 . Kelompok intensitas tinggi memiliki minat belajar rendah bernilai 2.42 dan Kelompok intensitas sangat tinggi memiliki minat belajar rendah bernilai 2.40 . Adapun upaya yang di lakukan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa yaitu menggunakan metode belajar yang dapat merangsang minat belajar siswa dengan berbagai tekni seperti ice beraking, meminimalkan metode cerama dan reward stiker. Kata Kunci : Game online, Minat belajar siswa./ The rise of students playing online games makes teachers and parents worry about the impact of online games. Students' attention and time that have been used to study can decrease because they are distracted by online games. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of online games on students' interest in learning and the efforts of teachers to overcome the effects of online games. The method used in this study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research subjects were students and teachers of Tagari Christian Vocational School. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and document studies. The samples taken were 52 students, 5 teachers and 1 counseling teacher. The intensity of students playing online games was divided into 5 groups, namely passive, low intensity, medium intensity, high intensity and very high intensity. To measure student interest in learning, researchers used four indicators, namely curiosity, attention, involvement and pleasure. The results showed that online games had an impact on students' interest in learning. the passive group or those who do not play online games have a high learning interest with a value of = 3.01. The low-intensity group has a high learning interest with a value of = 2.81. The medium-intensity group has a low interest in learning with a value of = 2.47. The high-intensity group has a low interest in learning with a score of 2.42 and the very high-intensity group has a low interest in learning a score of 2.40. The efforts made by the teacher to increase student interest in learning are using learning methods that can stimulate student interest in learning with various techniques such as ice acting, minimizing lecture methods and reward stickers.
