Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggali kearifan lokal dalam konteks budaya dan agama. Peneliti ingin menyajikan upaya Gereja Kristen Jawa Dagen-Palur di Surakarta mengangkat ritual grebeg lampah agung menjadi perayaan kalender gerejawi yang bertujuan mengembangkan teologi multikultural dan sekaligus memayu hayuning bawana (memperindah dunia dengan saling menjaga relasi antar sesama agar terpelihara kehidupan manusia dan alam semesta). Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif diskriptif yang menggunakan metode auto|etnography untuk membantu memahami pengalaman peneliti ketika menjadi siswa, mahasiswa, dan pendeta. Hasil studi autoetnografi ini menunjukkan peran identitas kultural peneliti sebagai seorang Kristen yang bersuku Jawa dapat mempengaruhi persepsi pada teologi multikultural. Untuk mengurangi subyektifitas dalam penelitian maka data yang terkumpul dalam bentuk wawancara, artefak-artefak ataupun dokumentasi vidio akan sangat menolong dalam merekonstruksi tujuan dan hasil penelitian. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti dan subyek penelitian dapat mengubah pandangannya bahwa teologi multikultural dan kearifan budaya lokal berpengaruh pada inklusifitas kehidupan bersama menuju paradigma interkultur, inter-generasional dan interelegius. Keyword: teologi multikultural, ritual, grebeg lampah agung./ The purpose of this research is to explore local wisdom in the context of culture and religion. The researcher wants to present the efforts of the Dagen-Palur Javanese Christian Church in Surakarta to raise grebeg lampah agung as a celebration of the ecclesiastical calendar which aims to develop multicultural theology and at the same time memayu hayuning Bawana (beautifying the world by taking care of one another's relationships so that human life and the universe are preserved). This research is a descriptive qualitative type that uses the autoethnography method to help understand the researchers' experiences when they were students, university students, and pastors. The results of this autoethnographic study show that the role of the researcher's cultural identity as a Javanese Christian can influence perceptions of multicultural theology. To reduce subjectivity in research, the data collected in the form of interviews, artifacts or video documentation will be very helpful in reconstructing the objectives and results of the research. Through this research, researchers and research subjects can change their view that multicultural theology and local cultural wisdom affect the inclusiveness of living together towards an intercultural, intergenerational and interreligious paradigm.
