Abstract

Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) dikenal sebagai tanaman herbal yang berasal dari daratan Cina. Penggunaan empiris binahong di masyarakat dalam bentuk jamu yang berkhasiat untuk mengatasi asam urat, rematik, mencegah stroke, serta mengatasi masalah luka di kulit seperti gatal dan luka. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui antimikroba ekstrak etanol 70% dan metanol 70% daun binahong terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Escheria coli dan jamur Candida albicans, Trichophyton rubrum. Ekstrak dibuat dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70% dan metanol 70%. Uji aktivitas antimikroba menggunakan metode difusi cakram Kirby bauer dengan rentang konsentrasi ekstrak mulai dari 3,125% sampai 50%, kontrol positif yaitu antibiotik kloramfenikol untuk kedua bakteri, nystatin untuk jamur Candida albicans dan ketokonazol untuk jamur Trycophyton rubrum dan kontrol negatif adalah akuades. Data pengukuran diameter zona hambat dianalisis dengan one way Anova dan uji post hoc LSD. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antijamur perlakuan berbagai konsentrasi kedua ekstrak daun binahong terhadap pertumbuhan jamur C. albicans. Kedua ekstrak daun binahong belum mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri uji Staphylococcus aureus dan Escheria coli./ Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (ten.) Steenis) known as an herb that comes from the mainland of China. The empirical use of binahong in society in the form of herbs that treat uric acid, rheumatism, prevent stroke, and address skin injuries such as itching and wounds. Research is done to determine antimicrobials extract ethanol 70% and metanol 70% binahong leaves against staphylococcus aureus bacteria, escheria coli and the candida albicans, trichophyton rubrum. Extract is created by the method of maseration using 70% ethanol solvents and 70% methanol. Testing of antimicrobial activities using the disinfectant kirby Bauer with a scale of extract from 3.125% to 50%, positive control of antibiotics chloramphenol for both bacteria, nystatin for the candida albicans and ketokonazol mushrooms for trycophyton rubrum and negative control is akuades. The data of the restriction zone diameter measurements was analyzed with one way of anova and the LSD post hoc test. Statistical tests show significant differences in antifungal treatment of the two concentrations of binahong leaves at the growth of the c. albicans. The two extract of binahong leaves has not been able to impede the growth of staphylococcus aureus and escheria coli tests.
