Abstract

Di Negara Indonesia pemilu sebagai dasar untuk memilih seorang pimpinan. Keberhasilan pemilihan sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat partisipasi politik rakyat. Untuk menciptakan peningkatan partisipasi, perlu adanya sosialisasi, dengan tujuan untuk menyebarluaskan informasi terkait politik dan pemilu. Peneliti akan meninjau pengaruh sosialisasi politik terhadap pemula di Kota Jakarta Timur tahun 2019. Objek penelitian yaitu, pemilih pemula dengan kategori pemilih pemula yang baru berusia 17 tahun belum pernah menggunakan hak pilihnya,dan dinilai memiliki pengetahuan yang minim terkait mekanisme pemilihan. Konsep yang digunakan sebagai alat analisa adalah konsep sosialisasi dan partisipasi politik. Sosialisasi politik dilakukan oleh KPU Jakarta Timur dengan memberikan materi pemilu dan materi partai politik, dengan mekanisme penyampaian sosialisasi berupa ceramah di sekolah, perguruan tinggi, media sosial, radio. Sementara partisipasi politik pemilih pemula yang diukur dalam 3 hal yaitu, tingkat pemahaman, kesadaran politik dan partisipasi politik pemilih pemula. Metode yang dipakai yakni pendekatan kuantitatif, melalui desain penelitian Ex-post facto, dan jenis penelitian eksploratif. Terdapat 219 responden sebagai sampel penelitian yang merupakan siswa yang masuk kategori pemilih pemula dan mendapatkan sosialisasi politik dari KPU Jakarta Timur. Dari hasil uji F ditemukan, Pertama yakni pengaruh variabel sosialisasi politik (X1) terhadap kesadaran pemilih pemula (Y2) dengan nilai F hitung 144,696 > nilai tabel 3,04 dengan sig 0,000 < 0,05. Kedua terletak pengaruh variabel sosialisasi politik (X1) terhadap partisipasi politik pemilih pemula (Y2) dengan nilai F hitung 47,221 > nilai tabel 3,04 dengan sig 0,000 < 0,05. Namun demikian ternyata kualitas penyampaian materi sosialisasi politik, tidak mendorong pemilih pemula untuk ikut berpartisipasi politik./ In Indonesia, elections are the basis for choosing a leader. The success of the election is strongly influenced by the level of people's political participation. To create increased participation, there needs to be political socialization, with the aim of disseminating information related to politics and elections. Researchers will review the influence of political socialization on beginners in Jakarta City in 2019. The object of the research is that the novice voters in the category of novice voters who are only 17 years old have never used their voting rights, and are considered to have minimal knowledge regarding the election mechanism. The concept used as an analytical tool is the concept of socialization and political participation. Political socialization is carried out by the Jakarta KPU by providing election materials and political party materials, with the mechanism for delivering socialization in the form of lectures at schools, universities, social media, radio. Meanwhile, the political participation of novice voters is measured in 3 ways, namely, the level of understanding, political awareness and political participation of novice voters. The method used is a quantitative, through an ex-post facto research design, and the type of research is exploratory. There are 219 respondents as the research sample who are students who fall into the category of beginner voters and receive political socialization from the East Jakarta KPU. From the results of the F test, it was found, First political socialization (X1) on the awareness of beginner voters (Y2) with a F 144.696 > the table value of 3.04 with sig 0.000 < 0.05. Second, there is the (X1) on the (Y2) F 47.221 > the table of 3.04 sig 0.000 < 0.05. However, it turns out that the quality of the delivery of political socialization material does not encourage novice voters to participate in politics.
